but you can test positive for weed and still pratice-play and all that ???

Weed has similar affects to coffee and doesn’t create a jolt of adrenaline. Adrenaline soon to be banned from nfl

Kinda weird.

I've used them plenty and they definitely work and wake you up, but it's not like they give you any synthetic energy or strength.

They definitely give you a quick burst of energy synthetically to what fight or flight is

It's why powerlifters use them before record-breaking lifts...

My friend is in junior hockey coach in Canada in a very big league.. and he gives his kids smelling salts before sending them out the fight

It obviously has some advantage

Now it's been used in football for a long time

It’s also bad for can damage nasal passages, lungs and other organs. Also can mask concussion symptoms. It is 13th century medicine.

If a player requires the use of smelling salts he has already met the requirement of a concussion and shouldn't be playing. I think that's the reason.

I think you're forgetting that a lot of players use smelling salt before they even take a hit during a game

They use it to hype up

Not performance enhancing and legal in many states. Plus, the owners used it as a bargaining chip to gain concessions of their own.

No more than listening to your favorite hype song really. Like I said, I've used them a ton. Recently too.

I'm not forgetting, I don't think that is the reason for banning it. No justified reason exists for its use. It shouldn't be used for concussions and it shouldn't be used as a stimulant.
