Man I think sometimes we take for granted how good this team is. So many good plays. Allen is the best QB in the league to me. Coleman has a lot of flashes and I think we forget what he can do. Shakir is a stud. Our TEs can be very good. Etc.

Ive watched a bunch of these, that team really was good.  One thing that has irked me all offseason is how many people keep saying its "All Allen", but when you watch recaps and highlights of last season they are LOADED with huge plays and individual efforts that were critical to a lot of our wins by guys all over the offense and even on defense.

Allen is without a doubt the best player on this roster, but he isn't alone out there like so many like to imply he is.

So alpha I think in Allen rookie year he said

" I can't throw the ball down the field and catch it also" it is a team game.

It would be stupid for anyone to suggest it’s entirely Allen, but it’s not stupid to point out Allen is working with less talent than the other 3 elite QBs he's often compared to.

It really was a special year on offense last season.

Agree with both of this. We don't really have that special elite talent on offense. Cook may be but I want to see a second season of it. Shakir may not quite be elite but he is a stud. Allen is that good. BUT we do have a bunch of really good players. Also we seemed to quietly build that Oline into one of the best in the NFL.

If our players become blue-chip players then the narrative goes away

I get what you are saying, but I don't think its that clear cut the other 3 have better weapons.

KC - Our offense had more talent on it last year.  Injuries took away all their WR's and our OL is definitely better.

Balt - I still prefer our 1-5 WR's than theirs.  Henry is better than Cook.  TE's are a little more in their favor, but OL is more in our favor.

Cin - Yes, Burrow has better weapons - but also hasn't made the playoffs in 2 years with those weapons.  We have a better team.

So I don't see it the same personally, only Cincy has clear cut better pass catching weapons right now and they can't even make the playoffs.

I respect that, we just see it differently.

You’re absolutely right. But come playoff time? It’s pretty much consistently all Allen. I will however tip my hat to Cook for the Denver and Kansas City games last season. He was an absolute baller in those.

Football is the ultimate team sport and with the athletes in todays NFL it takes all to give their 1 - 11th in order for it to be really good and the really good teams always have that guy that is just a little bit smarter and gifted like Allen that separates them from all the rest in the league .

The Chiefs wouldn't be who they are if you took away Mahomes, The Patriots definitely wouldn't have been or done what they did if Brady didn't lead them even though he wasn't a superior athlete as far as running his Football IQ was off the charts and his work ethic to be the very best was second to none .

I think Josh has that same type of DNA, he is always looking to improve and when ever he is given an award he is quick to realize that he couldn't have gotten it with out his team mates and that is a big part why he is so special .

Oh and while I'm at it to all those haters it also takes a really good HC & Staff, along with a good GM to get those types of guys that compliment each other & have their backs and are willing to learn or be taught how to be their best self !!.

Two of my takeaways- wow can Ty make great catches!  Ty had many clutch and very difficult catches that he made.  I see why Josh says Ty is the best 3rd down back in the NFL.

Also whats missing is the long ball.  Palmer can separate, and perhaps will help bring back the long ball

I watched the whole thing and let me say, it was much better viewing than Hard Knocks.

I didn't get to see hard knocks yet. I don't have HBO/Max. Planning on subscribing at some point that I only have to do one month. They are only 5 episodes, or is it all season?  I heard mix reviews of episode 1. I watched one of them on Youtube last season where Ravens were preparing for the Bills playoff game. Thought that one was interesting.
