Walking Tall Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Cook is a bit better but that’s a good baseline. 12.5-13 million is the highest I’d go with Cook. Edited 4 hours ago by Walking Tall 2 1 1 Quote
Process Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Ok so pro bowl RB got $11M. Cook is better yes but he's delusional if he thinks he's getting $15M+. 1 7 Quote
Brand J Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Should help Cook’s camp come to terms if they were already close. 3 Quote

Bangarang Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Would like a deal similar to this for Cook. I can live with the term and price. 2 4 Quote

ScotSHO Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Could Beane float those types of numbers, and what position would we have to steal from (probably WR, right)? Quote

In all fairness how do you see Cook is better? Cook has a better QB and OL and has lesser stats over the last 2 years. 3 minutes ago, Process said: I didn't realize how productive Williams is. eball Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Similar stats...if the Bills could reach agreement with Cook at 11M per season I don't think any of us would be too upset. 2 6 Quote

TheFunPolice Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago you could sweeten the deal for Cook: 3 years, 34.5 all guaranteed. He's going to play for 3 more seasons and likely be a great player for us. I'm not a fan of just giving him a raise this season but nothing beyond that. The team gets nothing new for that. IF you go that route, rip up his current deal and go 2 years 24 million, all guaranteed. Cook will be great for this year and next, then he can test the waters or the sides can revisit. Quote

I put Williams and Cook at the same level. 11/year is fair. It's slightly above Sportrac's estimated value of (I believe) $10.2M for Cook. its about what I expected Cook to see should be hit free agency next year. Maybe a slight bump due to next year's salary cap numbers 1 Quote

There is no way you fully guarantee a contract for a RB. Just now, Walking Tall said: I see Cook better as he is more explosive. But Williams has better overall numbers with a lesser OL and QB. 1 1 Quote

If Cook and his camp believed they were worth $15M/yr, but just saw a comparable back sign for $11M/yr, they have to know they’re not getting $15M in free agency. All other teams can point to the contracts similar backs make and Cook will have to face the music. Edited 3 hours ago by Brand J 2 1 Quote
