I wonder if the Bills play any of the starters against the Giants this Saturday.

Maybe for a series or two,

If he is to miss the Ravens game:

Coleman needs to be in at slot; he will match up against Humphrey (6', 210) so Coleman has 4" on him. Humphrey is quick and can recover in speed but he's not as fast as he used to be - what the Ravens will do is funnel that speed up the middle to their safeties. We are ok with that because Coleman will feast or famin.

What this would do is clear opportunities up for Knox laying down low or Kincaid running seam routes. Knox sitting in space will be great.

The Ravens will have to decide if they are ok letting Coleman potentially run deep on them and Josh connecting or let the shallow stuff free.

With Cook playing (as he should, damn dude signed a contract) we will be able to keep an explosive running game up with our 3 RB's. Johnson, assuming he's on the roster and a plan for 2025, will be able to leak out and also be an option on 3rd downs.

The Ravens defense is very underrated but we should be able to keep them on the field.

So, the inverse, if Shakir plays, will be Shakir running all over the middle pulling coverage schemes to make imbalances. I don't see him as a major factor for this game, honestly.

Great take

As a fan since the mid 60's, this situation is ridiculous.

Way to many injuries that keep people out of practice.

The first thing I look for every day after practice in injury news.

Crazy this year.

I don't get it.  And we have replaced the S&T staff.

Shakir had a good game against them last year in both, surpassing 60 yards and leading us.  Coleman did not have a good playoff game and 50 yards the first. I don't think Coleman should be put out there the same way or what's expected from the Ravens.

I think this years game plan, week 1, will be something conservative and simple for our offense.

we replaced parts. The head trainer is the same and has been in Buffalo awhile. He got a lot of the credit for the Hamlin injury triage.

While I appreciate that, it was a couple years ago and we seem to be having issues.

I'm curious what people think the S&T staff of the Bills is or is not doing to prevent injuries.. like I'm pretty sure they're not sacrificing enough goats.

My question is how are the Ravens fairing… or is it fare.ing in camp?   Cause although almost all the Bills will be playing, I suspect. I do think they’ll be rusty and out of synch.  It’s likely to be an ugly game.

Who cares if we lose. It’s week 1. One of the best teams in the AFC will be 1-0 and the other will be 0-1. 16 more games will decide the season IMO.

Want to agree. But then again feels like we are always one game short of that oh so handy 1 seed / bye - so I'm going to go ahead and treat it like a playoff game 😂

I guess this is the football gods evening things out after the Bills were on the low side of injuries the last couple of years.

And a head to head tie breaker at seasons end that I would rather have favoring us.

It's depressing.

And just keep in mind there's more coming throughout the season... There always is. All you can do is hope it's not our best players, but each year, even some of them inevitably go down too.

Then you have our best offensive weapon sitting out (which might help keep him healthy), combined with a limited cap that can really hurt our ability to get decent help to fill in for these guys.

Sure would be nice if we could snag Terry McLaurin right about now.

I’m gonna go ahead call it… it’s a must win!

Next man up - this is why Beane builds depth and doesn't go all in.

What are we overly concerned with as of now, WR/CB?

IMO, Josh, Dion and Benford are most important starters - all healthy.  Not to mention we aren't facing any season long injuries as of now.

Week 1 is going to be a battle, fully healthy or not.  We need Josh to be on point, and a couple stops on defense.  Shakir missing preseason and Hairston falling behind in reps, doesnt move the needle --- keep the "core" mostly healthy and we are a difficult team, with our depth.

Wth did I just read about Johnson, lol?  If hes on the roster and a plan for 2025.

Is this AI written?

Keon will be moved around regardless of Shakir.  I dont think Shakir will miss the game/snaps though.

I fully expect Bmore to be aggressive and make us throw on early downs with single high looks, funnel coverage inside.  Going to take 1-2 explosive plays outside the hashes to Keon or Palmer....going to be a dog fight all night with their secondary.
