Maddy Glab on One Bills Live

She doesn't bother me as much as she bothers alot of people, however, I think "the maddy awards" she does during the season is the dumbest thing ever.

The question really wasn't anything bad or difficult, I think Josh just misunderstood.

 

I have no strong opinion either way on Maddy in general but I actually like her more after she was proven right about Diggs.

Josh’s response was something like- “that’s hard to answer because I don’t really know what you (the media) are talking about.”

him and Brown DO come across as a little pompous when entertaining the notion that the team might not in fact be perfect, or even near-perfect.  But then again, their radio program is Bills-run state media, so…

Her voice is a bit squeaky and annoying, but in the bigger picture she’s not that bad. Do I wish they had someone better? Sure. But she fits in overall. Keep in mind, this is state run Bills propaganda media anyways.

I don’t have a problem with Maddy. When she first appeared a few years back her voice kinda bugged me. But in my opinion, it’s improved and become tolerable. That being said, my observation coincides with my hearing loss. … I think she’s semi A ok! You go girl!

Note: I'm not defending Glab as a journalist here, I don't think she's very good.  But Fair is Fair.

 

To the bolded: Josh Allen knew EXACTLY what the question meant. She asked what the media and fans are NOT talking about, but should be. And Josh sort of gestured and sighed, shrugged almost, answering: "I wish I could honestly answer that. I don't even know what you all are talking about..." but then he offered up something he thinks we should all be talking about.

I starts to not listen while driving to OBL, between Tasker who can’t complete a thought without fumbling his words, or Glabb who is so play a train wreck.  The only person I don’t mind at all is Brown.  That show is fine for the interviews with Cosell and others, but the narration of the first two is painful.  I’d rather listen to a replay of the morning guys on areas I missed or the extra point show.

I find most press conferences filled with at least 50% of ridiculously stupid questions. It's as if the reporters need to justify their press pass access when they've got nothing interesting to report.

 

I love the questions that are framed with "how happy were you....?",  or "how satisfying was it to....?"  or "how disappointed were you...?"

...As if there's a standard emotional metric that can be used for statistical analysis.  

 

Rarely do they inquired about actual strategy or techniques used to counter the other team. 

 

IMO, Maddy is no better or worse than the typical Bills beat reporter.

Maddy is really bad. Wonder who is in charge of the hiring her? They must be much worse if they don’t see it. The blind leading the blind.

I honestly believe most of those hating so much on Maddy Glab likely hate almost any woman talking football.  They almost never say the actual specifics of why they dislike her so much.

 

She seems very well prepared for each show, someone who does her research and has the details and analysis to make for a good show.  Loved Tasker as a player, but he doesn't seem nearly as prepared for his show as Maddy does, and definitely not as into it as she is.

 

I also like that she clearly has gotten better and better each year she has been part of the Bills.  Much more knowledgeable and better on air.

 

A nonsensical thread, to me, strange twisting of the example and bashing just to bash.

What’s C level in broadcasting in bigger, more noted cities, can pass as A level ‘round here….
