CA OC Bills Fan Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Sunday August 3. My father, whi turns 101 in August is going with me and few of my family members who are all coming to Rochester for the weekend to see him. I have 6 tickets, not sure who all is going because I think 8 of us are in town for the weekend. My father always says he wants to go but will step aside if someone else wanted to but I'm hoping it doesn't come to that as this could be the last one he's healthy enough for. 4 3 Quote

BillsFanForever19 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 (edited) Congrats to anyone going to Fisher. I haven't ever been able to win the lottery. LeShawn Jerman on Twitter was nice enough a few years back to gift me some. My dad is 76 and is dying to go and it breaks my heart every year when he realizes neither he, my brother, or I have got tickets for him. But I wouldn't trade that for the times the team was so bad that we could just roll up without tickets. Edited July 20 by BillsFanForever19 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Going on this Friday. Can't believe it's already time for training camp Quote
Bills fan since 87 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 August 3rd. Bringing a buddy of mine and his kid. Last year his son actually got Allens autograph at the end of practice, they were both so exictited. It was awesome. Give my others away (got 6, ST holder) to a former coworker and his boys. Quote
Preds Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Community Member 217 Posted 5 minutes ago (edited) I won the lottery for 4 tix on July 29th and a going with some friends. For some reason the Bills also gave me 4 tix to July 28th which I'll be giving away to family or friends, however, if they can't go, I'll offer them up free to someone who such as BillsDanFOrever19 below or preferably a family with young Bills fans in the household. 3 hours ago, BillsFanForever19 said: Congrats to anyone going to Fisher. I have up to 4 available for July 28th, just waiting on family members to see if they can use them. If not, I prefer to give them to a family with young kids, but will definitely keep you in consideration as well. Edited just now by Preds 1 1 Quote

Going 7/29 and 7/31 That's awesome about your Dad. I go every year with my Dad who's 91 this year. One thing to note, if your Dad needs a wheelchair or any special handicap provision my experience has been they expect handicap people to take the bus from one of the High Schools - and don't allow any parking on the handicap spots on campus, and there really isn't a good option either to drop someone off close. Have fun going with your dad, I always do. My father doesn't need a wheelchair but he started using a cane since the last time we went which was two years ago. Funny thing (at least to me), when we were leaving the bleachers, someone from the camp staff came up to us and asked if we wanted a ride back to the bus in a golf cart. He refused. We walked to the bus stop and of course the line to get on a bus was long and looked like we'd have to wait for the 2nd bus. Again a staff member came up to us and asked if we wanted to go to the front. My father started to refuse but this time I broke in and said, "Yes, thank you, that would be very helpful." Afterwards he commented that he was glad we could go to the front of the line. Quote
Negan Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Going this Friday, with my buddy with seasons that always take me. I've tried to get tickets through the lottery the last couple years (just 2 tickets too not being greedy) and haven't had any luck. And you know what's funny, I receive an email from the Bills saying I didn't win tickets, and the next day asking me if I'm interested in getting season tickets at the new stadium lol. Quote

I went to order a couple tickets and there were only upper level available. Do they actually differentiate between upper and lower level for the scrimmage? I didn't think the upper level would even be open. Quote
stlbills13 Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I wanted to go so bad but my wife says the fact that we are about to buy a new house means I can't spend money on "practice tickets"................ Quote

My Dad is active and mobile but long walks wear on him - a while back he had an accident and needed the wheelchair for a bit - he recovered but a few years ago I convinced him to let me use the wheelchair to make it easier on him for TC and games just to get to/from the stands (he initially was resistant but now I think appreciates it making life a little easier) . We actually park in the houses across the street now - he can walk across the road and on the grass along, then I put him in the wheelchair at the bus entrance Edited July 21 by stevewin Quote

I misunderstood what he meant. I thought he meant the 11/11 practice at SJF. *Those* are impossible to get - no matter how much eye batting you do. Quote
