Steve O Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Lost interest in a couple preseason games. Gave up on a couple regular season games. But always look forward to every game regardless of how meaningless they might be. Quote
dcinmuncie Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) The only year since 1990 where I missed every single game and did not give two $$$$$ was 2001 I was a 19 year old sophomore in college there was 9/11 I had no access to the games in my fraternity house and the bills were beyond god awful I was more interested in lifting weights, beer and girls that season Edited July 10 by dcinmuncie Quote
Bill from NYC Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Never. The Bills and this board have been with me through great and bad events of my life. I appreciate both, whereas they have both been important to me. One moderator despised me, another dislikes me but tolerates me, and I appreciate this. What I have been able to learn is to be better at handling the horrible losses. I have even come to expect it, but thats ok. Tell me, am I the only poster who suspected that we would lose the 13 second game? I'm saying NO WAY! Things like the (overated) Stevie Johnson dropping the best pass of Fitz's career prepared me for horror stories. The only thing that still gets to me is the focus on the secondary, despite other more important needs. I'm even better with that because I know damn well it will happen again and again and its beyond my control. Many, many years ago (perhaps even 20 years), @SDS posted that he is a bigger fan of Bills Fans than the Bills. I never forgot this post and I agree with hm. To give up on the Bills would be to also give up on the friends I have made from this board and tailgated with, and I can't do it. GO BILLS!!!!!!!! OUR DAY WILL COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote
letsgoteam Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Now, heart breaking losses when they are really close to being able to win the SB, the bad years were easy. I get too caught up in the emotions and need to step back. I'll get back on it, but, its better to take steps back 1 Quote

I know before the AFC Championship Game last year I really got like no enjoyment starting a day after the Bills beat the Ravens. It was more just the feeling of anxiety vs being able to enjoy the game/season. Quote

I would call those seasons "going through the motions" years for me My feelings also during those dark years. Quote

And I found Tyrod a tough watch. They sucked all the joy out. lol I was yelling at my dad while the clock wound down in the Jags playoff game “I don’t ever want to see this *** in a Bills uniform ever again” I got my wish, thankfully lol. BillsFooteball Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Never. Always watched but during drought years was always relaxed and able to watch games with friends of other teams. Now I wish I can just sit back and appreciate how great they been but I expect them to win and sadly it’s equally anxious as enjoyable. As so many going crazy for that first Lombardi Quote

Yeah as much as I love the Bills I've always been kind of a straight shooter and see the team for what it is. Could never understand some of the Homers that would hype up some of those dreadful drought teams. The only era during the entire drought where I really believed in the Bills was during those Bledsoe/Moulds/Spikes years and even then it never came together like we all hoped Quote

Gave up my season tickets (I had kept them in NC for 20+ years) and wrote the Pegulas a letter before they fired Rex and hired McD. Looking forward to watching in my new seats in the new stadium next year. Edited July 11 by eball Quote
Gregg Posted July 11 Posted July 11 https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/predicting-the-2025-26-nfl-calendar-year/ar-AA1IpyEG Predicting the upcoming season. I hope this comes true. 1. Has the Bills winning the Super Bowl. 2. Brady becomes the HC of the Saints next year. 3. Tua goes to the Jets. LOL. Mr. I can't play in the cold going to MetLife in the northeast. Good luck with that. Quote
