When it comes to close calls, you win some you lose some.  Everyone remembers the ones that change game outcomes and make assumptions.  Let's not be a fanbase full of whiners.

Well said.

This refs thing is a joke. Win the game... end thread

Anyone thinking that gambling doesn’t impact the outcome of games is burying their head in the sand.

Anyone who thinks it does is just a conspiracy theorist.

I want to see Taylor & Hailey in a cage match as the half time of the AFC Championship game between the Bills & the Chiefs winner takes all ...

It would be fixed for Taylor to win. She draws bigger crowds and the league and advertisers would make more money.

You just made a case for the thread/video. If everyone seems to be remembering the ones that change outcomes, why do they always seem to be Chiefs games that people are remembering.  And there are a lot of other fanbases saying the same thing.

Probably because you have a vested interest in those outcomes?

Yes, it’s logical to believe that one NBA referee is the only bad apple in all of pro sports.

Yes I do. But that's not what's driving this, and I'm not the one making the case here. I happen to agree with it. I simply trust the eye test.

All we can hope for is that with this type of exposure and the general sentiment of sighted people watching games, the pendulum of favorable calls will swing the other way next season, and until the Bills get their 5th Lombardi Trophy.

I loved the pic of the ref blocking Von Miller whilst Mahomie sits in the pocket.

It wouldn't come as a surprise if they were helping the Chiefs out just like I believe they helped the patriots during their reign, it wasn't enough to stop the Eagles from destroying the Chiefs in last seasons Super Bowl though.

Obviously because they win a lot. This idea of refs helping teams that win a lot isn’t something to sports.

Not denying there’s some questionable things in that video, but plenty league darlings have seen a lot favored their way.

The only one I have a problem with is the “Do Over” in the AFC Championship against the Bengals.

They failed to covert the third down, got another crack and converted. In the bigger picture of things, it didn’t matter. They didn’t score on the same drive and the Bengals had two opportunities to break the deadlock of 20-20.

Irrespective if it mattered on the actual outcome, the problem is we’ve seen clock malfunctions; unsynchronized clocks or play clocks not even being started and the game wasn’t paused or a down repeated several times in history. The fact it was in the biggest game at that period of the season for both teams is where it’s sour. Not just those teams but the conference championships are the second biggest game/s on the season schedule.

Just me?

I am in this place... maybe they do.. can't change that... figure out a way to beat them and move on...  I want a Superbowl... not a well I woulda won if the refs didnt cheat and here is proof...  not saying this isnt legit... I am just saying figure out a way to beat them both then.... cause I just want one before we all die... and if something takes focus off of that... than remove that something...

you sound ridiculous

You don't see the magnitude

The impact of the refs is really overblown. They do fine most of the time. Sometimes they blow a call or miss something. Those times suck, and sometimes they really do impact the outcome, but I don't believe it is intentional and often those calls are closer than a lot of biased fans want to admit. And sometimes the fans just don't know the actual rules and are calling for flags on perfectly legal plays (such as holding by the offensive line in certain situations).

All that being said, I don't think the refs actually try to help the Chiefs, at least not consciously. It is impossible to eliminate bias, though, and that can creep in from time to time. But there is no larger conspiracy.

It's about the timing of these calls that scares me

yup

getting a call blown, for example, against you in week four in quarter 2 vs jacksonville isn't the same as getting a blown call for you in the afc championship game in the fourth quarter.

If you think i am ridiculous because I believe we need to overcome things we can't change, that regardless of what the refs want for an outcome and do to effect that I still want to win a superbowl then please yes feel free to count me as ridiculous.

This is really old news

Kind of like...

The Patriots are Cheaters

Or

Tua has a problem with concussions

It's been going on for a very long time.

Tuck rule? Deflate gate?

Nfl pushes there agendas

I do give refs credit for getting so creative on the fly in games to "find a way" that they can make excuses for.

Yes. The 'when' is huge vs how, or even how many.  A lot of folks will point to the fact that there's a few missed calls every game. True. and they'll point to the fact that it's about the same for every team. Also, mostly true. But the calls at crucial parts of the game that goes the Chiefs way is the pendulum. And it's not always a call that wins/loses the game, but one that changes the trajectory of the game. That's still huge.

Bills have obviously gotten calls in their favor, but most of them are, 'ok....so what'?! Very little affect.

I also find it weird the Bills are so extremely successful in the regular season against the Chiefs and yet they can’t get one win or lucky break/call in the big games. Last matchup was filled with so many terrible spots by the refs, one resulting in a turnover (on downs.) In a one score game is inexcusable. If the average fan can see it on tv then it is a BAD spot.

They “let them play” in the playoffs, which means the Chiefs DBs can grab our WR’s with impunity.  We need to be able to adjust, and I think that was one of the ideas that led to the drafting of Keon Coleman.  It’s certainly not just that, but that was a real thing.
