It’s because he doesn’t miss this throw. The man is a killer. What throw did he exactly miss here? He went for a wide open Shakir and got bumped by Dawkins as Chris jones pushed him into Josh. If Dawkins holds up for a quarter more of a second, it's a easy 25 yard TD Edited July 11 by BillsFan130 1 Quote
Augie Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I bet he’s fat so he can go to the beach and fit in, nobody will notice him. Clever. 1 Quote
dayman Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) First, he’s fat in some of those photos. Yes. Second, upper body workouts are not good for QBs. Chest. Arms. They rarely build because it doesn’t help, they need to be “rubber bandy” and muscle bulk takes that away. Many of us probably bench more than Josh (he doesn’t, at all, ever). Don’t get me wrong, he probably hex bar squats twice what any of us do…but point is these guys aren’t building an upper body that’s meant to look good they’re building a strong lower body and an upper body that twists and has rubbery arm. Third, when you play QB your attractive so they don’t need worry about women like us message board guys. We should all probably go hit the gym about now and stop talking about Mahomes Edited July 11 by dayman 1 Quote

And you’re right, he did do 28 at the combine that’s damn good. I do bet he can’t do that now though. I only say this because I saw him mention this in an interview, that he’ll never do it. 1 Quote

I never said that Mahomes was the only reason. It’s obviously not. What I did say is that Mahomes hits that throw, and you know that to be true which is why you chose to argue against something I didn’t say instead of what I did. Buffalo’s coaching dialed up a play that got two WRs open and a huge pocket from which to throw. The rest was up to Josh. Look at the picture. It was right there. The question I was asked wasn’t whether or not Josh is a great QB. He is, and I’ve said before that if he retired today I think he deserves to be in the HOF. The question is whether I thought Mahomes would have won that game, and you’d be crazy to think otherwise. He’s won 17 straight one-score games and made it to at least the AFCCG every season he’s been the starter. You don’t do that by accident. Even Bills fans have repeatedly said that, even if Josh hits that throw, the Chiefs would have driven down to score. They’re probably right. Meanwhile Josh has had the ball in his hands with the season on the line two years in a row and has come away with 0 points. So to answer the question of who I think wins the game, give me the guy who has been to 5 Super Bowls over the guy who has never been. Give me the guy who scored with 13 seconds left and then ripped down the field for a TD in OT. Give me the guy who is 4-0 head to head when it matters over the guy who is 0-4. You’re welcome to disagree, but he asked me a question and I answered it. Quote

That was not the question you were asked. when answering the question, you’re assuming that the entire game would’ve played out in the same manner up until the throw that you’re talking about. Mahomes vs Spags is a much different beast than Mahomes vs Babich and McD the year before (2 years, the question that was actually asked). All coaches are not equal. If Spags didn’t come up with that brilliant play call on 4th we probably win that game. Swap out Reid and Spags for McD and co- chances are Mahomes has zero Super Bowls Quote

Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice were out almost all of last year. Kelce is on his last legs. Reid is scheming guys open but they have lacked real threats. If Rice is healthy this year, Mahomes play will bounce back. Which is bad news for us. They say a good prosecuting attorney can persuade a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich. Seems unfair to @Ham Sandwich but I sure wish the Texas prosecuting attorney would cook up some Rice. Quote
