I think Rousseau should and might make it

Dawkins and especially Allen will undoubtedly make it.

Again, Benford could, but I'm 50/50 at best on that. Rousseau? No way that happens.

You have to keep in mind, we're now in the Top 81 players of all positions on all teams league wide. If Rousseau was to make it, he'd be at the bottom of the list with Josh Sweat - who given his Super Bowl performance would probably supercede Rousseau league wide.

Allen , Dawkins , Benford Brown cook should make it ... Brown probably off

Milano when healthy would definitely be there

It wouldn't remotely shock me if Brown made it and Benford didn't. Fair or not, Brown got way more attention for his strong play last year than Benford did.

Wouldn't shock me either. I think Benford is a top 100 player in the NFL. But the players are not always the best judges of their peers and name value plays a big part on these lists.

Personally I think it will be Josh, Dion and Jimbo and that's it.

Allen should be #1 overall but Lamar might get it due to his regular season prowess on a team typically more stacked than what Allen has had.

My guess is Allen doesn’t even crack the Top 5. Players don’t think he’s as good as others for some reason, and then he embarrasses them weekly.

I think he will this year. Top 3 IMO.

That's fair on Rousseau. I do have rose colored glasses

But Benford is a Top CB in the league. If he isn't on the list, it's highway robbery

IMO if you have 16 TDs you've got to get some recognition

18

21 including post season.  Which is just 3 less than what all Bills TE's and WR's combined had last year

18 if you count receptions.

They save these lists for this time of year. They know we are so desperate we will click on anything!!! 😂

Then argue about it, of course.

I could see Lamar being #1 with a dozen or so Ravens on this list, while should be in the Top 3; with Cook, Brown, & Dion as the only other Bills one the list. I thought Shakir might break in 90-100 range, but guess not.

I'm not sure Benford is even considered the best CB on the TEAM given that Taron Johnson has had recent All-Pro honors, making the 2nd team last year. There are just so many CBs to choose from in this league, and a bunch of others get highlighted more with the amount of man they play.

Reputationally around the league, I think Taron gets more respect but I think Benford was much better last year.

just like any list though, it’s a popularity contest. Ramsey will be super high despite his play on the field not supporting it.

Same issue as Benford and CBs. There are just too many WRs to name ahead of him.

You're looking at this as a Bills fan and like this is some sort of list curated by experts who are painstakingly evaluating and comparing stats and performance by position and ranking them justly.

This isn't that kind of list. This is a list put together quickly by players and is often more of a list of popularity and fame. I mean, Tua played 11 games in a year where the Dolphins had a losing record. And he made the list bc he's Tua.

Unfortunately, Benford isn't flashy or famous. He doesn't get a lot of pick 6's or picks in general. He's a great zone cover guy that locks down his man. We all know as Bills fans he's great. But this is the kind of list where you can bet your bottom dollar someone like Jalen Ramsey has 10x the chance to make it over Benford based on fame and popularity amongst players.

All homerism aside... Allen, Dawkins and Brown should be stone cold locks for the Top 100.

Not sure how accurately this list represents OL (clearly not well at all) so I  don’t know for sure that Dion makes it.

Brown is pretty close to elite, if not there already, with greats like Lane Johnson hyping him.. but I don’t know he has the name recognition yet to make this list.

Benford and Cook are guys who I was 50/50 on, but Cook made it and obviously has name recognition.  Benford’s play warrants it but not sure about name recognition.

Allen should be #1 overall but Lamar might get it due to his regular season prowess on a team typically more stacked than what Allen has had.

You're certain Spencer Brown will be listed but uncertain about Dion Dawkins?

That's interesting.

I'll eat crow if necessary but I just don't see Brown being higher on the list than Dawkins.

Yeah, there's no way Spencer Brown makes the list and Dion doesn't. It's either they both make the list or just Dion does.

If I had to hazard a guess, it'll just be Josh, Dion, and Cook. Christian Benford and Spencer Brown *should* be on the list of the Top 100 Players in the NFL - but I view them both as longshots for this particular one.

Blocking for a running back is about effort and want

Not your size

Darren sproles was a better blocking back than LeGarrette Blount

Because sproles had high effort

Do I think cook will ever have that want? Probably not much of the time but if Darren sproles could develop .. I guess cook could also

Agreed Thurman was actually pretty good at it too... I don't need the back to dominate, I need them to get in the way for 1-2 seconds... the ability to do this enhances the backs ability to not get keyed on all the time in passing situations.... if they are a threat to do both competently... If JC is out their in passing situations... and can block it opens up screens and outlet passes for him otherwise he is just covered. Thurman made a living off of this... well at least a nice 2nd job...

Christian Gonzalez coming in at 84 to me means Christian Benford is not making the list.

Gonzalez was 2nd Team All Pro at CB last season and gets WAY more love league wide than Benford does.

I don't see any way Benford is going to be above him, particularly on this list.

Edit: And now the other 2nd Team All Pro CB Trent McDuffie comes in at 81. Yeah, no way Benford is above both Gonzalez and McDuffie.
