This seasons camp star

This time of year there's always some kid who comes out of nowhere to be the camp/preseason star. This year feels like most positions are deep so it might be tough to make a name but I'll go Hancock from OSU as the guy who ends up contributing early. Thought this would make a good slow day thread

I think the new TE Hawes will be the star of camp

I was going to pick the same guy. If Bishop is a bust I could see Hancock making a push to start at Safety. At a minimum would love to see him outplay Cam Lewis and be the third safety.

Yeah, I mean, I cannot wait to get overhyped about someone at Fisher who won’t make the team. Best part of it for me. I don’t even watch the games after they inevitably cut our guy. Fools! That dude was gonna be a star!

Kind of excited to have that goal line jumbo package like we did with Lee  and punch opposing defenses in the throat again. love it

I'm rooting for a real long shot, UDFA Stephen Gosnell from Virginia Tech.  I've watched him the last few years, and he was grossly underutilized at Tech, mainly because they didn't have a QB that could get him the ball.  He's wearing Steve Tasker's number, so maybe that's a good omen.

Shavers is the new Duke Williams. He will have a great camp and then we will never hear from him again

I was going to say maybe this is the year we hear Justin Shorter’s name for the first time. Then I googled and found out he’s not a bill anymore.

Rookie - TJ Sanders. He was already getting some positive reviews from beat reporters at OTAs and I think it will only get better once the pads go on.

 

Non-rookie - Elijah Moore. He also got a lot of buzz at OTAs. His skill set will shine in a camp setting and I think ultimately the fanbase's expectations will get high, possibly too high.

The Dorian Strong kid seems to be player plenty of national media types were high on, maybe he makes an impression.

I'm excited about both, Sanders tape is awesome, Moore was a stud in college, has had some success but hopefully coming to an elite organization can put it all together,  poor kid only knows the disastrous Jets n Browns

Rookie - Landon Jackson. I think Jackson gets to camp and immediately looks like he's going to be Groot 2.0 for this defense.

 

Non-Rookie - Dorian Williams. I think Williams hits the field running this year and looks like he's truly taken that next step.

I'll pick one for offense - Kaden Prather, and one for defense - Wande Owens.  We heard good reports about both in the OTAs and mini-camp and both have the requisite lack of notoriety from their college days and the pre-draft process.

Bills fans tend to obsess over bottom-of-roster longshots at wide receiver year after year after year.

That being the case, smart money is on Kaden Prather, Tyrell Shavers, and Laviska Shenault to become 2025 camp darlings.
