Kind of like reports of the slide showing “preserve lifestyle”… And if Terri is in such dire straits, he would just sell the Sabres immediately and/or more minority ownership in the Bills. Quote

It means that a significant number of Canadian fans don't want to risk a bad scene crossing the border. The 15-20% decline is verified. Keep in mind hockey isn't like football where games are once a week and usually played on Sunday. Hockey games happen on work nights. So you count on fans that live within 45 minutes to come out on a work night. If you're Canadian, do you want to risk getting hung up for hours, if not longer? It's a giant leap you're making between a small reduction in retail tourism, to ticketed events. Even if we use the 13% decline in regular crossing and attribute that directly to the 7-10% of ticket holders from Canada. We're still talking virtual no one. That's like 150 people. The bigger issue is attendance as a whole. Win, and the tickets will go to Canadians or Americans. Quote

They may be, but it’s by no means a given - especially in that industry. You seemed certain so I thought you may have had some insight, but you were just speculating based on the popularity of some of their artists. And that’s a good thing obviously. I doubt it much matters when it comes to their sports franchises anyway. I had a long time partner who regularly brought in a ton a revenue….and just as regularly never made any money. We’d get to the end of the fiscal year and he was totally befuddled. He never did figure it out. Edited 10 hours ago by SoCal Deek 1 Quote

But you have an anxious fan base and you have to think about the messages you send. Not having Jarmo at the presser was a misstep. Kevyn's whole demeanor was unsettling. Okay, you got me. It's totally possible that Black River Entertainment is a money loser. But based on the success of their lead artist, and the songs they own publishing for, the APPEARANCE is they are successful. Did a quick search and saw revenue of $5.3 million in 2024. 1 Quote

I can’t even think of the last time you had a win. But I’m sure in your mind though you’re saying “I’d ***** me.” lol point to anyone ever who used “a minute” to mean “3 years” keep digging! not sure what the rest of your gibberish means there… Quote

Including funding your family’s lifestyle on your list of goals while aggressively downsizing and asking those that remain to take on more work is extremely tone deaf though. The article pointed out that according to many it did not help morale there. 2 Quote

It was your analogy. Anyway… Yeah, that’s what it means. I had already discussed the coaching situation and everyone knows that Whaley was replaced by McBeane in 2017. Is that all you have? Or were you including Russ Brandon, who lasted until May 2018, but had been relegated back to the marketing department for over a year by then? In any case, it’s silly to harp on the first two full years of their ownership (they were awarded the team in October 2014 so they had no control over that season ) when the last eight have been incredibly successful and the next decade is looking good as well. That slide was leaked along with several PSE employee comments about how the Pegulas treated their staff. In that particular meeting, Kim Pegula allegedly told employees—per multiple sources—that their job was to ensure the Pegulas could maintain their lavish lifestyle. She would sooner fire staff earning meager salaries than cancel their lavish vacation to Tahiti. The message was clear: you're expendable, your job is to fund our lifestyle, and our vacation matters more than you. It made waves because it was the first time the public got a glimpse of the Pegulas’ not-so-polished side. Quote

I get your point but there's no amount of staffers that they can fire that would change their lifestyle lol That vacation to Tahiti would be coming with or without those staffers They are billionaires... They have enough money for 12 lifetimes 1 1 Quote
