I read his first and nothing above that in all honesty.  Even looking at your stats though you're assuming more volume would equal the same production.  I think Groot is right below that elite tier of DE's but Verse's rookie season was better than any Rousseau's had through four years.

You’re overhyping their guy and underselling your own.

I wish I could agree, but honestly when watching both, Verse seems to be a bit more impactful. He was also very visible in the close playoff loss to Philly (best oline in the league).  Rosseau on the other hand, was abysmal against a bad KC oline.  I can't unsee that.  Verse looks more like a DE1, and Rosseau looks like a really good DE2.

I'm not assuming anything - Rousseau's production has increased as his volume has increased since his rookie season (Age 21), and he's remained consistent with 80+ grades from PFF during that timeframe. Verse is already at the upper-limit of how many snaps a DE is going to play, and already wasn't as productive as Rousseau in the counting statistics like Sacks, TFL, PD, FF, Hits.

I'm on your side wrt the comparison, but I think we're all missing the most critical difference between the two wrt this list. While both of them were born in 2000, currently Rousseau is 25, Verse is 24 and turns 25 mid-season.

 

As someone else has mentioned, PFF likes Rousseau quite a bit.

Right but the whole defensive line rotation purpose is to keep guys fresh.  The fact that Verse played more snaps and still had a higher pressure rate carries a lot of water with me.  Especially being his first year in the league.  Rousseau's contract even if he's reached his ceiling was completely the right move by the Bills because it will look like a steal in a couple of years.  I'd still rather have Verse though on a rookie contract if I had to choose.

Yeah but Shakir and Kincaid would've made his role redundant as he's mostly a slot WR.  It's the not trading up for Brian Thomas Jr. that's frustrating.  Maybe they tried.  Who knows?  I'd love for Coleman to tear it up this year so he can shut all of us up.

Agreed. I liked McConkey and was not a fan of Coleman going into the draft, but I also think the latter played better than people give him credit for and showed promise of what he could be and why Allen apparently wanted him. Before his injury, he was on pace for around 750 yards which is not too bad a rookie season for a project WR. 

 

Even after the injury, he had a few flashes that give hope for the future. His ***** TD in the Jets game showed his potential to be a match-up nightmare and he had a couple moments where he drew penalties in key moments. He was mostly dormant and even Beane and McDermott called him out for his post-injury play, but even then there were moments of hope.

If we didn't have Khalil Shakir, we might have Drafted him. McConkey worked out of the Slot for 65% of his reps and came into the league as a presumed exclusive Slot. Losing Diggs and Davis and then Drafting a guy that would have effectively just took Shakir and Kincaid off the field wouldn't have made sense. We weren't in a situation to Draft another 50/50 guy and McConkey isn't even that.
