If we weren't all Bills fans, we would all have a chuckle at this version of the Bills, who despite performing at a high level just about every regular season, collapse defensively EVERY SINGLE YEAR in the postseason. We usually reserve words like "chokers" or "frauds" for teams like the Ravens or the Cowboys, but honestly, we are kind of right there with them.

I have never used that terminology for the Ravens or the Cowboys either. I don't really go in for attacking teams that win plenty but can't get over the hump in tournament play. Those teams are normally not far away and it is about finding the small modifications that you can try and use to get you there. Those modifications can be changing the coach or the General Manager. But I am just not persuaded that is the right lever to pull. Maybe I will get there. But I don't see it right now.

There are, as I have said multiple times, three scenarios in which I am already clear I would fire McDermott:

1. The Bills missing the playoffs save for in a situation when they lose Josh Allen for a significant stretch.

2. The Bills losing a playoff game to a team they have a clear Quarterback advantage over (not a Mahomes, Burrow, Jackson).

3. Another clearly identifiable coaching blunder akin to 13 seconds. You can have one mulligan. You don't get two.

Any of those 3 scenarios would convince me the coaching is the issue. I may get there in other scenarios too. But those are the 3 that are obviously identifiable.

He just continues to do and say all the right things this offseason.  Will it translate on the field, we will have to wait and see, but from what is coming out it sure sounds like it already is early, which is an encouraging sign as well.

there are 4 pages previously re-litigating a play that happened when Keon Coleman was still at FSU.

Blaming me for taking this train off the tracks is deeply unfair.

The wink at the end was to you.…. It was meant to be somewhat humorous.  You are, without a doubt, the quickest to respond to posts and usually respond to every post (directed to you).  I know I spend a lot of time on the site, but I feel like you have notifications pop on on your phones Home Screen when people quote you here.

lighten up- it was all of us.  Not just you

No the biggest Keon guy, but I effing love that.

I know he has a goofy attitude but one of the reasons I latched onto him as a prospect is he is known to be a hard worker and dedicated to being great. Words and intentions don't always equal results but I have no doubt that if Keon fails it won't be because of his own effort. If he never develops the requisite skills so be it I can live with that. I think the athletic potential combined with his work ethic gives him more of a chance than you believe though.

Self awareness and acceptance is the first step towards an improvement. Kid has a good head on his shoulders. Apparently he is also putting in the offseason work.

That's the best he can do till the pads come on. How can one not root for his success?

I just don't know if he has the nuance or understanding of how to use the athletic ability he does have to compensate for what he doesn't. But there is a lot of trash on his 2024 tape. And good on him for having the balls to call himself on it. Respect.

The games are close because our offense usually plays very well.

A bit of luck or a bounce or two or a few more difference makers is not a sufficient explanation for the Chiefs playing one of their best offensive games of the season year after year against the Bills in the playoffs, imo.

They lost their #1 WR for the year in week 4 for cripe's sake. They had to trade away Tyreek Hill for salary cap reasons and have had their last 2 seasons being fifteenth in points scored. How is that not luck for the Bills?

Yeah, I like McD and believe as Gunner that they could improve their coaching, but his identity is tied to his almighty system, so I'm less confident he makes that leap, especially after so many years now.  So I come in more on your perspective overall.  These playoff games come down to one or two critical plays and it seems to end up that we can't stop the other team.  Sometimes the coaching adjustment or surprise wrinkle just needs to be made for one big play but when have we ever done that defensively in the playoffs?

Definitely wearing thin with me if we are to capitalize with Josh.   I remain optimistic he shows the growth this year.  I'd feel better if he had an experienced in-game manager to help him out

I mean cool...and apparently he's looked pretty good at times....but he had 2 passes punched out of his hands today.  Simply cannot happen

In mini camp in June? Yes it can, it 100% can

Use him like Deebo and Boldin and he will be very good.  Both great after the catch. Get creative to get him the ball and use him more in the slot.
