I think it's a year we learn more, which means we get closer (or all the way). I have been highly critical of McD, but anybody could see how talent deprived the defense was last year.

Can this team play championship caliber defense? That is the big question. We should have the horses this year. We should be able to hold McD and company to solid playoff showing with the roster we have. If that doesn't go well, we should be concerned about our coaching. If it does go well, we should give McD more credit (if you're one that is skeptical).

It would seem hard to come out of this year without clarity, but then again that is something we seem really good at.

Useless trivia: DE Ken Johnson originally coined the song, Robertson was a limelight hog (I’m being kind) and “stole” it.

Jim Haslett, at a place I worked back then, kicked his ***.

Buffalo was so lucky last season with their poor defense and unreal turnover ratio, which led the league at +24. The next best was Pittsburgh at +18. The Bills were 28th in allowing 3rd downs which is very crappy.

It was like at the end of the season, watching the defense not getting pressure on the opposing QB, and it was like they had all day to throw. That Baltimore game with Lamar Jackson doing whatever he wanted, and what saved Buffalo were the 3 turnovers by the Ravens. The turnovers failed them against the Chiefs, where they got one, but it wasn't enough. Mahomes just picked on Elam and the Buffalo secondary all game.

Lady luck is a big part of getting to the Super Bowl, along with injuries, and so many other intangibles come into play. Will the refs screw Buffalo in another big game? The weather, the odd bounce of the oblong spheroid?

At this point, with the draft and new players like Landon Jackson, Joey Bosa, along with some better talent in the defensive backfield, the defense should be much improved. As should the offense with some better receivers.

But then, the Patriots got a whole lot better, and the NY Jets got better, Miami lost some players and perhaps the locker room over their HC. The Chiefs should have a much tougher time winning that division. The two worrisome roadblocks might be Baltimore and Cincinnati in my view.

Buffalo should field the best team in the NFL in 2025. Winning home home-field advantage is the key.

Gotta hope the pics hit gotta stay healthy and gotta win the turnover battle again by a freaking landslide.
But most importantly you gotta get the number one seed. That’s how Kansas City keeps getting in every year.

Except the year before when they were the 3rd seed and still beat us and Balt on the road to get in.

I say yes and by a mile.

Cool, you have to be lucky & good to get there.  Maybe the luck will change this year.

She single handedly kept me motivated last year during the KC stretch.

Grip strength is good.  Also, what is the KC stretch?  Is that like the 7th inning stretch?  Did we play them 3-4 times in a row last year?  Our pitching was solid for that series but the bats let us down again.

She loves Dion and for good reason, class act and amazing player.

Maybe your relationship is just casual if she loves Dion.  Be careful.

Not sure how many fans here like hockey but it’s the same thing.  Toronto = Buffalo

While they are 20-30 miles away, Buffalo is not equal to Toronto.  Toronto is a lot bigger.

As for Toronto's chances at the Superbowl - I'm going to go with probably not.  But hope does spring eternal.

The bills have had no trouble scoring points the last 6 years.

Their defense has let them down. Add a healthy Milano, Bosa, Deone Walker, Landon Jackson and then Michael Hoecht whe man he returns. Thats a massively sized defensive line. I think we’ve been missing the size and aggressiveness on defense. We finally have it

The problem is that the AFC is just so loaded…the four best QBs in the league (all future HOFers) and a few HOF coaches.  Home field really is huge and luck plays a big part.  Things have to break just right.  One thing in the Bills’ favor is that the AFCE is weak, which should make it feasible to get the top seed.  Baltimore has a tougher road…KC probably does too.
