US Egg Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Been here 20 yrs. Lots of critters have come to the back door to peak in. Never a Woodchuck, until yesterday. Right up to the sliding glass door. Thought he might try to attack himself in the window like the turkeys do. Turkeys spaz, peck the window in rage and ***** all over. Little fuzz ball is around today again. He’s too darn cute to shoot, probably go with the release trap. They’re not so cute when they’re in there trying to kill you. Quote

I worked with someone who had a deer come up to the slider at the back of their house…..at full speed. Crashed right thru and started trashing the house. She grabbed the kids and ran out the front door. Not the way she expected that morning to go. 3 Quote

Nesting northern cardinals are insane too! Their reflection in glass windows drives them wild. Very territorial. Quote

I just read up on woodchucks (see the advantage of reading TBD and being a bills fan). I would tend to leave it alone unless it is causing serious damage with its burrows or you have a garden, Release trap might be good (have to be careful as they can have fleas and spread things like lyme disease. If you do catch him you might have to drive away so it doesn't return. I once caught a raccoon and carried it in the trap across a street and when I let him go, the SOB rna right across the street a hundred yards won my street and ran right up my driveway. Similar circumstance with armadillo 2 Quote

I once thought a peacock would be a real neat gift for my wife, little did I realize how they like to look at their reflection in glass doors and and leave massive turds on my front patio. It didn't take long for the peacock to be part of the wild nature food cycle, I wasnt too upset. Edited May 8 by RoyBatty is alive 1 1 Quote

My dad used to mange facilities and grounds keeping at a local school district. A deer broke through a classroom window in the night and could not figure out how to get back out. It did extensive damage to the room and furniture trying to get out. It was a bloody mess. The sheriff and game warden had to come in and euthanize the deer. 2 Quote

US Egg Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Got a Bugs Bunny/Wile E thing going on. I caught 4 rabbits this winter. Seen quite a few of late. Last night my wife wakes me up to say there’s something under the pool deck. Whatever….I just looked Wile E busted through the lattice. I think I know where the rabbits are. My wife wants to save the rabbits, I think nature should take it’s course….. Quote

He'll just blow himself up with a box full of ACME dynamite. 2 Quote

There’s two teeny little baby bunnies scurrying around the deck now. My wife said she also heard brief squealing last night. I don’t think their mommy’s coming home tonight. 😢 1 Quote

There's a pack of coyotes (5 of them last time I saw them during the winter) living in the 200 acres of woods directly across the road from my place and I've seen one of them in my yard a couple of times before but just last week we heard that death screech you're talking about behind our house and when I turned the lights on back there I saw a fox running away with a bunny in its mouth. I've heard it many times before but it still amazes me at how loud a little bunny can scream! :edited for spelling Edited 3 hours ago by RichStadiumGuy Quote
