Umm, sure you do.  It’s a reflection of the support provided to Hurts and Allen against KC in the playoffs.

 

It’s also further evidence that the Bills rightfully focused on defense in this year’s draft.

To my knowledge, neither plays defense.
 

 And it’s not exactly a newsflash that the Eagles’ defense is better than Buffalo’s.

I think it basically says one has a very, very, good Defense that keeps him in games and gives him a chance to win. The other has little to no help from his Defense and has to try to do it all himself. Exhibit A has a Super Bowl Ring. Exhibit B is still chasing the opportunity to get one.

 

And the "between-the-lines" implication: Maybe you should be drafting more Defensive players to help solve this.

Personally, I think it's an indictment of Sean.   I was all in going hard on defense in the draft.    Have we had massive injuries all 4 times?  D is supposed to be his wheelhouse, I haven't seen when it counts most.  The superbowl also showed it can be done, don't want to hear about excuses.

C’mon, man, don’t be obtuse.  When people chirp about Jalen Hurts having a SB ring and Josh Allen hasn’t been to one, stats like this provide some perspective.  Nobody thinks Allen and Hurts play defense.

The Eagles did to Mahomes what the Bucs did.  They both put tremendous pass rush pressure on Mahomes by rushing only 4 guys.  Hopefully the offseason moves by Beane will pay off.

Let's hope with all of the changes this offseason that we get a much better defense this year. Allen is a great player, but he will end up being this generations version of Marino/Ewing if the defense continues to **** the bed. If it fails again this year, then I hope McDermott' seat starts to get warm.

It’s objectively true that Hurts has a ring, and Josh doesn’t.  Absolutely no one (except maybe CJ Stroud) thinks Hurts is a better QB than Josh Allen.

No one is interpreting the meme as implying that. They are correctly seeing it as an indictment of the Bills' defense.

I think thats exactly what the stat is saying, Josh is better but lacks a championship D.

Jalen Hurts 2024 Salary Cap Hit - 13 million

 

That's a lot of extra benjamins the Eagles had to spend on defense.

All six of his Superbowls in New England were won with top 10 defenses by points. By official NFL stats (which rank defenses by yards) 3/6 were top 10. 4/6 were top 15, with his first and last win both being with defenses outside the top 20. His Buccs winning D was top 10 in points and yards.
