Depends on who you compare him to. Take for instance...

Why do I feel WR's with the name Marquez or Marquise or some version of this are always looked at as intriguing prospects but they never seem to pan out the right way?

Marquez Callaway

MVS

Marquise Goodwin

Marquez Bradley

Marquez North

Marquise Brown

So, my final thought is that if you run into a WR with some variation of the name Marquez....

I dont think he's the answer but im afraid at this point, we are gonna have to wait for some releases from  other teams at roster cut time

He might be the answer... but then what would be the question?

He hasn't down much the last three seasons but his 2021 season looks nice when he got 11 starts and put up 698 yards and was a teammate of Josh Palmer at UT.  Draft writeup also indicates he could be a punt returner/occasional speed threat. To me he's worth a shot if we can't get Elijah Moore.

So much for that.

It’s so funny to watch people defend the WR room and then suggest scrubs like this. I’m not talking about anyone in particular but I promise that the Ravens, for example, aren’t kicking around the idea of this scrub.

Eh, the Ravens love scrub WRs. I think our group might be better than theirs. They don’t really do much to help Lamar in the passing game at all.

They have certainly thrown stones at guys that were good at one time. Flowers and Bateman, along with the TEs, is solid though. They’re taking chances on guys like Hopkins bouncing back because they have a stable group of pass catchers ahead of him. If he’s 70% of what he once was, that’s helpful. I like their pass catchers. I think they play so much off script that it’s tough to tell that they are actually good.

Forgot they got Hopkins honestly haha. But that is their market. The washed up vets. But Hopkins is a decent flyer.

Last season, he played a total of 4 snaps, which only 4 more than I did. If his best season was 4 years ago, thats a lifetime in the NFL

Man if you break down what he got paid per snap he's doing alright I wonder if he will negotiate his next contract to make the same per snap ??

Dionte Johnson is an idiot. He also had a 3 year stretch where he caught 281 balls for over 3,000 yards. Callaway has caught 16 balls since the start of 2022 and none in the last 2 years. That’s not the same.

Hopkins looks washed but he might be heading to the Hall of Fame. The Ravens took a chance on him as their 5th receiving option if you include the 2 TEs. They already have Flowers and Bateman. Flowers is certainly better than any Bills receiver and you could argue Bateman is as well (you may prefer Shakir to him). It was a risk worth taking because if he is in fact done, it doesn’t torpedo them. He was option 5.

When I hear the Chiefs have no good receiver outside of Worthy, that can only come from bitter Bills fans. Worthy obviously showed in the playoffs that he might be a young Desean Jackson. He was great. Rashee Rice turned 24 last week and was out most of last year (and may miss this year if suspended). He still had 938 yards as a rookie. He was off to a big start in 2024. They have Hollywood, Royals and Juju. All of those guys would play here. Worthy & Rice are better than all Bills receivers. Hollywood, Royals, and Juju are potentially better than all Bills receivers except Shakir. The Chiefs WR room is WAY better than the Bills.

What is the Bills fan offseason narrative if Zay Flowers doesn't get injured in that season finale?    Or if Andrews catches that conversion and the Ravens then end up completing their comeback as the Bills offense sputtered?    The Bills needed some really favorable events to escape that divisional round home game with a win.    If they lose that game the story is probably the offense.......not the defense that carried the day creating turnovers.
