I hope he’s okay, obviously. In defense of Beane, I thought Hairston was a high upside CB prospect with a substantially higher than average injury risk. I still liked seeing him take a shot at a player who had a real shot at greatness. Now to where we are today….. 🤞 Edited Tuesday at 03:27 PM by BarleyNY Quote

That does not sound good at all. Just looked at the video of the trainers attending to him. It looks very like they were performing the checks you'd perform for an ACL.  That doesn't mean it is an ACL, obviously, but the trainers clearly suspect it. 1 Quote
BarleyNY Posted Tuesday at 03:31 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:31 PM Hearing it is his knee and he walked off with the help a trainer. My guess is knee ligament(s). Quote
GunnerBill Posted Tuesday at 03:33 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:33 PM On the plus side... Sounds like Tre had another really strong practice. That is at least three days in the first week where he has looked good. We might be about to need it. 1 Quote

So it is not surprising he is getting a good start but if he is chronically hurt then we know why he fell. Max looks to having a nice camp esp for a rookie and I would rather have a durable good player than a great player who only plays half a season. I blame you for this 2 Quote

Anterior drawer, etc etc.  Ultimately, any question, and the guy is headed straight to MRI. 1 Quote

What actually happened is a trainer did the ACL stability test on him, then after running it he extended his hand to help Hairston up and walk slowly off the field. If the stability test failed I doubt that would have been the trainer's response.  Either way it's getting close to calling the competition for Tre. I don't see how Hairston can steal the job at this point given his struggles and now this injury, and with Tre looking pretty good in camp. 3 1 3 2 Quote

Hopefully it’s just a knee sprain or something minor. Injuries are a part of the game sadly. Been a lot of dings so far in camp.  update: he looks to have needed some assistance from the trainer. Just have to hope for the best. Edited Tuesday at 04:00 PM by billsfan89 2 Quote

Been a lot of dings so far in camp.  I can’t see what Tre’s response was, but there were not multiple players around him with tears in their eyes. That’s a bit of a relief.  I’ve been present for multiple ACL tears. After a complete tear there is usually no (or minimal) pain. Partial tears are usually painful. A person can easily walk with a fully torn ACL that’s the only part of the knee that is injured.  The trainer did help Hairston off the field, but we do not know why. It could’ve just been precautionary.  We just have to wait and see. While I am not filled with hope at this point, I’m not devoid of it either. 1 Quote

As pointed out above.  They typically know on the spot if it’s a tear.  And while you can walk off with a tear, it’s not advisable, and a trainer who just performed a test would typically not prompt you to walk off like the video shows. 1 Quote
