From this article today, it says cook was on the field for 45% of snaps last year. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45893264/seeking-deal-cook-sits-bills-practice-just-business yet, when I did some research, Derek Henry was on the field 57% of the time and Barkley 74%. doesn’t seem fair to pay cook the same if he can’t take on a much bigger load, IMO. I just read about the "sit in". 🤬 him. I am sick of this assclown, trade him, start Davis and move on already. 14 minutes ago, Big Blitz said: Feels like a deal is imminent Not with his sit in. He showed up, he has practiced, he has been quiet…literally everything people have demanded of him. What do you now want him to do?!?! 3 Quote

jcamm1966 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Call Dallas and make a deal for Parsons and move on 2 Quote

Either that is to save himself for the regular season so that he can perform well when it matters and increase his value for free agency, or because the deal is imminent and doesn’t want it pulled if he went down. Either scenario is good for the Bills, with how he has been practicing and just decided to stop, I think the latter is probably more likely. Edited August 3 by LEBills 1 Quote

Its tough because he has been impressive, imo, up until today .. and even today, I’m not overly bothered by it. Now if it drags on… The bigger issue is that a lot of us don’t view spending big money on a RB as smart cap asset management. So, while hes doing everything (for the most part), the right way - he’s still raking the team over the coals for every last penny as a running back. Which means potentially no McGovern and Edwards next year, instead of just one gone. Stuff like that. Maybe if Bosa has a great year and we want to extend, same with Milano.. this deal could throw a wrench in those as they would likely be shorter term deals. So, long story short, when you ask what you asked.. some of us are just ready to throw our hands up super quick (and that’s unfair to Cook) because we really don’t want to pay a RB that type of money. richNjoisy Posted August 3 Posted August 3 so many people who post here are ***** insane, the Bills are not going to pay a non QB 45 million a year to play here. AND trade picks? Quote

I agree in principle, but. I think they do not have the cap space and would have to give up too much depth to do it. Dallas is not trading him anyway. Quote

BillMafia716ix Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Pay the man and let move on! Bills have let this drag way too long. He’s our 2nd best weapon on offense. We been giving out all this money to the defensive guys. Pay our playmakers!! 1 3 Quote

Restructure Knox and Dawkins and we’re good this year, then it gets tight for a few years. I posted in another thread that it works, but we’re likely gutting our interior OL to do this move. Figure zero chance we can extend McGovern and/or Edwards. Which is fine.. they might already view Grable, Anderson, SVPG as the future after this year. But Torrence would sting if he’s the cap casualty. Thats a good deal for both sides. Dallas gets a star player, vet DE and strong pick compensation. We get Parsons and would keep Rousseau. But Kromer would suddenly becomes worth his weight in gold. Funny enough, I wouldn’t worry because I think this FO, for their struggles in certain areas.. are absolutely lights out on the OL since his hire. 1 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Dallas isn’t trading Parsons. Trading Cook for Parsons isn’t worth the time to post to suggest that because Parsons is not available. 2 Quote

Either that or pay Cook 15-25m next season when he's a FA. See Zeke. Edited August 4 by The Wiz Quote
