Let's say Bills lose to KC and the best Miami and Jets could realistically get is 8 wins. If you aren't the #1 seed, does it really matter? We already lost the tie breaker to Houston and Baltimore. If it comes down to it, could there be a scenario where Josh Allen and others sit for MULTIPLE games? Possibly the last 2? Has this ever happened where a team had already clinched their division but the 1 seed was already out of reach and the 2-3 are unlikely and possibly not worth the risk?

What would YOU do?

Contemplate the value of locking this thread vs seeing more ridiculous takes and the ensuing comedy.....

Houston has a worse record than us now. So does Baltimore after their loss to Cleveland last week.

Oh please do the latter, Simon! I’ll never talk about the bills in the around the league thread ever again.

It’s a legitimate question…could be a nearly unprecedented situation…

You mean make starters inactive? Absolutely not. Seriously an absolutely awful, terrible idea. The 2 seed is better than the 3 or 4 seed

The point is by the time we get to the final 2 games it might be out of reach even for seeds 2-3 as they have the tie breakers. You guys are assuming we are winning out or something. We have a very tough schedule. Not tough enough where we won't win the division but tough enough where Houston and Baltimore might be ahead of us by the home stretch

Why is it ridiculous? If you have the division locked up and can't get to the 1 seed what's the difference?

Anything they think is unlikely is ridiculous...until it actually happens. This is of course very premature but something to consider as the season progresses. Just wanted to see what people thought but unfortunately it's tough to have a conversation on here.
