Maybe the firing is related to the fact that Wilks' called D on the last play did not account for KC's Corndog / Tom & Jerry play. What's even more ridiculous is the Chiefs were one of the worst teams in the league in big plays on offense. Hey, how did vaunted genius Kyle Shanahan do in terms of points vs the defense that Brady and Allen put up 24 on? His defense stopped Mahomes multiple times while Kyle's offense was stuck in neutral failing to remember they had Christian effing McCaffrey to hand it to. Then the special teams screwed up and handed the Chiefs a score. I am not a huge Steve Wilkes fan. I didn't like that hire to start with.
