Laporta versus Kincaid?

Toledo Bill

I'll settle this real quickly. Take LaPorta out of the Lions offense and put him in the Bills offense and take Kincaid and put him in the Lions offense, production is flipped. There, now go back to not making stupid posts. It's not Kincaid, it's how they are used

Actually I think most had Laporta as the number 1 TE and he is playing like it. Beane wanted Aaron Hernandez. He wanted a flex TE and that is what Kincaid is.

LaPorta is obviously far better right now. But it's early. Kincaid still looks like he can be a star.

Let’s hope he’s not Aaron and actually has a career that isn’t cut short; for whatever reason.

Not a stupid point, it was just a conversational question.

There's no question to be had. If you honestly think LaPorta looks just as good in our offense as he does in Detroit, I hate to break it to you, it would make no difference. Kincaid would be the better TE if he was in Detroit

I am curious what people think… who is better?

If I remember correctly, Kincaid was the top rated tight end coming into the draft.

I wonder if Laporta is better suited to be a  tight end in the NFL..

LaPorta is a better all around TE, he also plays for a former TE who is committed to using him a lot. Kincaid was and is breasts on a bull when Knox is healthy. That makes LaPorta the better choice for the Lions, but LaPorta would have been a bad choice for the Bills too.

A Valium might help your combative attitude. A question to a forum looking for opinions is just that. To be told it is a stupid question and you “hate to break it to me”… you must be a real joy.

Right. Of course. That empty hypothetical that can’t be debated.

Beane wanted a WR but then had to scramble for Kincaid. It may be that the type of pass-catching TE that Kincaid can become will take longer to develop.

I don't have an attitude. Just watch the teams play. Tell me how you think the 2 are any different from each other if the offenses were flipped? One really isn't any better than the other, the Lions simply use LaPorta the way he is supposed to be used. Period

Why do you have to jump in and call this a stupid post? A lot easier to just not reply since you think so highly of yourself, bub.

See, you could have said that originally...

That way is sufficient without you being so darn cute with the snarky🌺. 😍😍

Kincaid looks like a nice TE, if they start using him like a big play guy, then he'll be a star.

I like Brady,  but I don't think he utilizes players to their best abilities yet,  but it's still early in his time as our OC.

Kincaid was said by many to easily be the the best TE in this draft class. It took us half the season to start using him the way we should have and the last 2 weeks, Allen has barely thrown the ball and the Bills have a hard on for Dawson Knox. That is keeping Kincaid from being consistent every week. If LaPorta was in this offense with Dawson Know lingering, you mean to tell me he is better than Kincaid?

Did I say I thought highly of myself? Why are you making assumptions?

I liked Kincaid going into the draft and I still like him more now.  We are not using him to his full potential yet.  He was a beast in college running seam routes and deep crossers.  Right now, we are using him more as an outlet than the weapon he can be.  Short dumps over the middle.  A few underneath routes.  But nothing really special.

There is so much more there and I just hope that with a full off season that Brady can tap into his strengths and expand his role.  He's been pretty good as a rookie this season overall, but there is a whole other level to explore.

I wasn't being sparky. Trust me, if I was I would tell you. I was simply saying that the players are no different from each other and it's the offenses they are in why one has more production than the other. If people are taking that as snarky, I don't know what to tell them

LaPorta has been used in more ways. There is ZERO reason Kincaid couldn't be used the same way. The Bills just don't right now.

Kincaid could use some muscle if he is going to be used more like Laporta. Kincaid is much more of big WR than a TE at this point. Depends what the plan is for him. Right now he reminds me of David Nelson. I have hopes they can unleash him at some point but they may require a change in coaching.

LaPorta is also the main man in Derroit. They allow him to run seam routes and actually use him the way he should be. How did Kincaid look when he was the main man when Knox was out? He looked exactly like he was on LaPorta's level. Now Knox is back and Kincaid is basically taking a back seat again. LaPorta is not necessarily better
