I don't really think I have a double album take... Just the Ted Nugent one came to mind from back in day.

ELP: "Brain Salad Surgery" was originally one record... But later was re-released as 2 discs with the bonus tracks...

Any, most have been mentioned here.

I knew you had lots of musical experience from reading your past posts here in OTW. Variety is the spice of life . 🙂

Here you go... in no particular order and I'm sure it could be revised and updated with more thought. A collection of live and studio works that had an impact.

Beatles.   The White Album

The Clash.   London calling

UFO.    Strangers in the Night

Pink Floyd.   The Wall

Led zeppelin.     Physical Graffiti

Smashing Pumpkins.    Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness

The Jimi Hendrix Experience .     Electric Ladyland

Thin Lizzy.    Live and Dangerous

Bob Dylan.    Blonde on Blonde

ELO.   Out of the Blue

A few more honorable mention live albums.

Cheap Trick  At Budokan

Iron Maiden    Live After Death

Deep Purple     Made in Japan

Rory Gallagher    Irish Tour '74

Ozzy Osbourne    Tribute

Rush    All the World's a Stage

Was watching this conversation in the Shoutbox and thought it was pretty interesting.

The Shoutbox discussion was Top 5 albums but I cannot get my list down anywhere close to that so I'm going with Top 10.

Exiled on Main St

Songs in the Key of Life

Waiting for Columbus

Stadium Arcadium

Europe '72

The White Album

Electric Ladyland

Physical Graffiti

Bltches Brew

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

It's Alive

What do y'all got?

Live albums are not in scope, correct?

I almost added this one, think it's their only double... plus it has Here at the Western World which isn't on any other album.

I am a Steely Dan freak. The Grateful Dead and anything Steve Winwood are the other artists I enjoy the most but NOT Dead and Co. or whatever they call themselves now. Maher is good but that is not Grateful Dead to me. I did however really like Furthur with John Kadlecik and saw several of their concerts.
