Bills!Win! Posted yesterday at 01:03 AM Posted yesterday at 01:03 AM Even the defensive players look small in comparison to early 90s players. I know a lot of it is the pads, but still… Quote
BigPappaPump Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM I’m not Irvins biggest fan, but I loved that he didn’t hold back! 4 1 Quote
Brand J Posted yesterday at 01:12 AM Posted yesterday at 01:12 AM Seems like there are a lot more injuries in today’s softer league. Guys were far more calloused up back in the day with two a day practices and legal harder hits. There was no “defenseless receiver.” I think because guys were more calloused, they probably knew how to protect themselves more. Soft tissue injuries also weren’t as frequent because they were on the field all the time. 1 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Seems like Mike has been hitting the nose candy again.... But he's not wrong. What we watch nowadays is a different sport from football of the 80s and 90s. I didn't even like Deion Sanders but he was a phenomenal athlete 1 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM Posted yesterday at 01:13 AM If Deion couldn't cover todays wide outs, it would only be a result of pass rush being almost nonexistent. Otherwise, i think the best athlete to ever play corner probably could hold his own. 1 Quote

But back then, they (DBs), had so much more leeway. WRs nowadays are very protected compared to old. Plus pass interference is call so much more now. Mind you, WRs also get called for push offs a lot more now as well...when they wouldn't back then. Quote
Chicken Boo Posted yesterday at 02:04 AM Posted yesterday at 02:04 AM (edited) Mike ain't lying. He would dominate today's game. He was Andre Johnson before Andre Johnson, but with more athleticism. Edited yesterday at 02:05 AM by Chicken Boo 1 Quote

Definitive drama the league likes. A half the distance penalty on anything over 30 yards be a nice reward. Anything under 15, but traditional it’s not. Quote
