I’m a believer that with JA the Bills can always compete no need to sell out like the Rams with Stanford. That’s big difference. Losses of Wilford, Ballard, Odoms, Conlan, etc diminished the Bills edge bit by bit. High salaries (at the time) limited the Bills with it's FA's (and Wilson's tight purse strings had a heavy hand in it as well).
