Those who, safely out of range, demand that every last Ukrainian be rounded up to fight for a doomed cause, while lying about the situation on the ground and smearing anyone who wants peace. But what's the motivation to give the green light to the NYT to reveal the story now in much detail? Surely it was intentionally "leaked" and perhaps written word for word by the US intelligence services. But why this admission of participation now? My guess is some new direction or narrative about the the conflict and objectives but which way, who can say?
