Although Charlie Wilson was really trying to help those folks other politicians were just typical US politicians and it wound up being a quagmire that the US couldn't get out of very similar to Vietnam just no chemical warfare involved in this one . More Americans died during the 1/6 terrorist attack on our nation’s capital than the Afghanistan withdrawal. Numbers do matter.
