DeSantis For President in 2024?

Recommended Posts

Steve Schmidt has gone off the deep end making some outrageous and ‘totally not hyperbolic’ claims about Desantis.

If you do not know who Steve Schmidt is, he was a founder of The Lincoln Project and we think that says pretty much everything you need to know.

OK, well first of all. We do not think he knows or understands the definition of hyperbole. We are pretty sure if there was a textbook to be written about hyperbole and its use on Twitter that tweet should be the example they use.

Quote

hy·per·bo·le /hīˈpərbəlē/ noun
Definition: exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.

The next guy is always "worse than the last guy." Always.

Meanwhile.

What would be the fun in that? I love watching the debate break down to childish memes and adolescent name calling the second there’s the slightest hint of pushback to the leftist talking points.

Just remember, not all of us do though.

Obviously, but if you’re only going to swim in your own echo chamber you learn very little about where he and his ‘clan’ are coming from. Unfortunately, there are very few left leaning folks on here that want to do anything more than bash Trump 24/7 and call half the country the latest version of deplorable.

You misunderstand me.

I certainly read most all of what the Liberal posters here post.

and as my replies show, I read multiple left-leaning media sites also.

As you point out, the majority of Liberals on PPP are woefully unprepared for any actual debate, so it is kind of grating when questions are asked of Tibs,

Billstime, Frenkle, 716 and the like when you KNOW that there will not be any kind of substantial response.  It will be repetitive simplistic nonsense.

What is the point.

Meanwhile back at the thread......

We’re closing in on a week of coverage of Gov. Ron DeSantis flying approximately 50 Venezuelan migrants from Florida to Martha’s Vineyard, where they were fed, clothed, and sheltered for less than 48 hours before the National Guard stuck them on buses headed for a military base. A lot of Democrats thought they owned DeSantis by showing just how well they treat brown people … for two days.

Now Ross Barkan writes in The Atlantic that this is the moment for the Democrats to turn the tables on DeSantis. “Republicans’ cruel immigration tactics present an opportunity for blue cities,” he writes. Blue cities like New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., where they’ve declared a humanitarian crisis over a couple of busloads of migrants from Arizona and Texas?

Um … those political leaders did say, “Send them here.” They designated themselves sanctuary cities. And now they’re repeatedly asking the National Guard for assistance in dealing with the humanitarian crisis posed by 4,000 migrants and claiming their infrastructure is strained to the limit.

All in one week:

- Mayor Bowser called for public emergency

- Mayor Lightfoot deported illegal aliens to a republican suburb

- Martha’s Vineyard deported illegal aliens within 48 hours

LET’S BE CLEAR. The tolerant left really don’t like illegal aliens in their neighborhood.

this one is turning out more humorous than expected. Dems and their media shills are failing to control the narrative on this one.

They should be saying yes keep sending them and thank you for equitably distributing the burden of the migrants across the country instead of allowing it to focus the financial impact and burden on border towns that I understand are also higher proportionally people of color.

yes it is a political stunt, but it is ultimately a very progressive thing to do. Liberals should rejoice this and be sorry they didn’t think of it first (oh wait they were quietly already doing it too?) 😂

He makes a really great point that’s been lost a lot is the 48 people that were taken were here legally. Not a single one of them was here illegally.

"If someone is here and they are illegally here and are undocumented, they have rights to not be victims. They have rights to not be lured to another state with fake promises. With that being said, these people were here legally. They were documented. They had the right to walk around the streets free and not be transported across the country for it to be a media event. That's a tragedy. That is at worst some type of crime. We're going to look at what extent of the law we can hold people accountable."

Im here legally as well DeSantis, please give me some free flights. Free handouts for legal people, what does he think he is a Democrat?
