There’s nothing wrong with being passionate. Can you name a few of the specific policies you’d promote in order to protect our country’s future?

Like I said, my boss. colleague, who has been a lifelong Democrat, had to begrudgingly admit to me that the MSM is liberally slanted and intentionally inflaming the masses for profit and the furthering of the Dem agenda.  He's also calling Joey, who he voted for, an "idiot" because of his numerous failures since taking office.  I've yelled at him for being dumb enough to vote for him and how this was all predictable.

ALL THE NEWS THAT FITS THE NARRATIVE:

Networks Censor Devastating Poll Numbers for Collapsing Biden Presidency.

According to Quinnipiac, the President sits at 40 percent approval. It’s even worse for the Grinnell College poll, showing Biden at just 37 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval. Both are respected polling companies and included in the Real Clear Politics Average of polls. (The new numbers can be found here.)

Again, you wouldn’t know that if you watched ABC, CBS or NBC. It’s not as though Good Morning America’s Jon Karl wasn’t aware of at least one of the polls. He cited Quinnipiac, but only the outfit’s numbers on Donald Trump: “A new poll from Quinnipiac found that 78 percent of Republicans want Donald Trump to be president again in 2024.” That amounted to just 8 seconds on the network.

In contrast, Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo highlighted the bad news on Wednesday, noting, “When asked about the most urgent issues facing America, the top answers were the economy, Covid-19, immigration and health care.” Those are subjects that mostly look bad for Biden.

Mostly?

Sorry Billsy, I have to call BS on this one. The only thing you seem to be passionate about is attacking anyone that disagrees with what Twitter tells you to screech about (or anyonethat posts on that other site you hate so much). If you really cared about our country you would take the time to listen to different points of view and engage in honest dialog.

This is simply you proving MY point.  Stop with the cowardly memes and engage in some honest conversation, Billsy.  You are like a characiture of a partisan hack.  Grow a pair and engage like a reasonable human instead of a twitterbot.

Leave those guys out of it for a minute.  I am happy to discuss any topic you'd like. Here is the format: no memes, no tweets, no "but Trump" (unless he is the actual topic), just two adults discussing a topic reasonably. Pretend we are in person.   Now, should we discuss the topic of the thread? Death penalty? Abortion? Vaccine mandates? Immigration? Dealers choice.

People want to know why there’s vaccine hesitancy?

How could anyone feel safe taking an injection from people who push stuff like this?

The more they lie, the more they pump out disinformation, the more people reject...and that’s just the truth...

Nope, this is squarely on you.  You can choose to start a new thread or I can do it for you, but you have to pick a topic you are comfortable posting in without the nonsense.

Sure - let’s discuss the placement of the Buffalo Bills new stadium.

If that is the only thing you can discuss reasonably, ok. I like putting it right next door to the existing stadium.  I think it keeps the footprint of the team the same and allows for tailgating to continue unfettered.  If you put it downtown I am worried our tailgating and fan atmosphere will suffer greatly.  I also question how much use a domed stadium would actually receive.  I don't feel it will pay for itself in less than a decade. Where do you want it and why?

A $1,400,000,000 investment should go in the core of the region.

An area like Buffalo has to leverage a once in a lifetime transformational opportunity to capitalize on what a new stadium presents: investing in the necessary infrastructure in the city to benefit the entire region. Building it in OP brings zero benefit to the region.

I love tailgating in OP but after experiencing game day in cities like Seattle, Baltimore, Nashville, and Pittsburgh - there is zero comparison. Even Bob Kraft wanted to build the Patriots new stadium in Boston: not Foxboro.

Seattle’s stadium is nestled up to a thriving neighborhood filled w bars, restaurants, condos, hotels and offices. The area was jumpin before and after the game. It was insane.

A city like Buffalo could significantly  benefit from that investment.

WNY can make the case for federal funds to expand our metro to the airport, UB, Niagara etc. something that will never happen in OP.

The entire region benefits w a downtown stadium. Only those w a elementary view of the NFL buys into tailgating in OP.

Building the stadium in the city - closer to its largest mega market - southern Ontario - makes the team viable for a lifetime.

I have been to a lot of downtown stadiums, and I have yet to find one that compares to the OP experience, at least in my view.  Personally, I like the community you see at the private lots, and I love that I am not forced to jam myself into an overcrowded bar to pregame.   While some of the nightlife you see in Seattle is ok, I just don't think that model will work for Buffalo, it doesn't fit the culture of the region. Personally, I have no issue jumping into an Uber after the game and going go Bar Bill if I want to go out after.

I don't know that the infrastructure money coming to the state would be best spent on the needs to accommodate a downtown stadium.   I think that extra billion could do a lot more good elsewhere. Or to pay down a tiny little bit of the national debt.

To what end?

When you are the second smallest market in the NFL - you have to do everything you can to maximize revenue.

Terry doesn’t make ***** your tailgate… but getting this stadium in the city - around amenities that make it appealing for c-suite types up in Southern Ontario to spend big bucks on suites - you do it.

Terry doesn't have to maximize revenue: he will still be making great money through TV and digital/streaming revenue.  The team is bought and paid for so he has no debt there, and likely by this time (7+ years of ownership) he has made enough in profit to recover his initial investment.  For him, a downtown stadium doesn't offer added value versus the extra money he'll have to spend as c-suites can easily be sold in OP as downtown (it's less than 1/2 hour away).

Now if the state says "we want it downtown" and will spend the extra money to do it, I doubt Terry will have a problem with it.  But the state will have to cover the difference.

You don't think there is pressure on Terry to keep up with the Jones?

No.  Buffalo doesn't have near the market to compete with the top markets.  All that Terry is expected to do is get a new stadium and that will push the Bills out of the bottom-5, at least.
