Trump Beating Biden By 18 Points Among Independents

by Cassandra MacDonald

Former President Donald Trump is leading Joe Biden by a whopping 18 points among coveted independent voters. The latest Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that 45 percent of independents support Trump and 27 percent support Biden in the hypothetical 2024 matchup. Trump is also beating Biden by five points among all voters, across party lines. According to the pollsters, when looking at all voters, 45 percent support Trump and 40 percent plan to vote for Biden. Another 16 percent are still undecided on a candidate.

Democrats have a Muslim problem in Michigan

J.P. ISBELL FROM MICHIGAN NEWS 10:40 AM on July 20, 2023

LGBTQ+ and transgender-supporting Democrats have a Muslim problem in Michigan as the conservative Muslim community pushes back against Democrat-supported LGBTQ legislation and policies.

In Hamtramck, the all-Muslim city council in the only Muslim-majority city in the United States, recently voted unanimously to institute a flag resolution called “Resolution to Maintain and Conform the Neutrality of the City of Hamtramck Towards its Residents.” In the resolution, they prohibit flags of any racial, ethnic, religious or sexual-oriented group on city property.

{snip}

Aoun continued to say, “The Democrat Party waves the LGBTQ flag. Let’s be honest. They’re doing it for their agenda. They’re not doing it just for the LGBTQ. They’re doing it for votes. And the Republican Party does not agree to this. Trump said this is uncalled for. That it’s a man and a woman, not a man and a man. God created female for a male and a male for a female…I need to protect my nieces and nephews at all costs. Imagine one day my niece goes into the bathroom and a guy is walking in. I can’t accept that. There’s no way.”

Democrats Sound The 2024 Alarm After Turnout Plummets Among Crucial Voting Bloc

by Mary Lou Masters

Democrats are concerned that black voters won’t turn out for President Joe Biden in 2024 like they did during the 2020 election, according to The Washington Post.

Democrats are increasingly worried after the 2022 midterms saw a 10% voting drop among the crucial electorate, despite the party’s victories in the Senate, according to the Post. Party activists are now making it a priority to bolster turnout for black voters, particularly in key battleground states Biden narrowly secured in 2020 — Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

“The Democratic Party has been failing epically at reaching this demographic of black men — and that’s sad to say,” W. Mondale Robinson, founder of the Black Male Voter Project, told the Post. “Black men are your second-most stable base overwhelmingly, and yet you can’t reach them in a way that makes your work easier.”

Majority of Americans Support Voter ID, Other Election Integrity Laws That Democrats Call 'Racist'

ecc47d07-d97a-4080-b422-88bc6696a2d1-860

Before we begin, it’s important to understand the collective mindset of the Democrat Party.

Consider any number of issues, from border security to presidential elections, and the same old tactics can be found in the Democrat playbook. When Democrats can’t win when playing by the rules, their first inclination is to cheat. When cheating doesn’t get the job done, they do their damnedest to change to rules.

The intentional Biden Border Crisis is a quintessential example, as was the 2016 presidential election.

Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by roughly 2.8 million votes, while Donald Trump won the Electoral College (EC) vote 304 to 227. The Democrats squealed, with Hillary as the hood ornament, that the EC was “outdated,” “unfair,” “undemocratic,” and other such nonsense and promptly called for its demise.

That was never going to happen, of course, so by the time 2020 rolled around, Democrats around the country had continued to change election laws in favor of Democrat candidates, with lax mail-in ballot laws, opposition to voter ID laws, and other such nonsense. So here’s the first bottom line:

Democrats don’t want to make it easier to vote; they want to make it easier to cheat.

This raises a salient question: What do the majority of voters think about all of the above? Glad you asked.

In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election and subsequent concerns about voter and election fraud, conservatives across America have called for tighter laws to ensure the security of future elections.

As a result, states across the country are enacting election integrity reforms, including voter ID laws, prohibiting so-called “ballot harvesting,” and ensuring that non-citizens — including illegal aliens — can’t vote in elections. The fact that the latter is even an issue perfectly illustrates my observation that Democrats will cheat or change every rule they can get away with changing until they achieve their desired results.

So while the Democrat Party continues to scream “Racism!” at every attempt to enact stricter voter ID laws that comes down the pike, there’s just one problem:

According to a recent poll by the Honest Elections Project, 88 percent of registered voters support photo ID laws.

Racist? Hardly.

A 2021 Rasmussen Reports poll found that 69 percent of Black voters and 82 percent of non-white minorities support voter ID.

Democrats worry young people souring on party.

“Della Volpe argued that although young voters appear to be getting more progressive in their values, fewer are identifying as Democrat or liberal, are paying close attention to political news and are likely to believe in politics as a means for system change.

The share of younger voters who say they’ll ‘definitely’ vote in the 2024 race is now at 51 percent in the Harvard poll, down from 55 percent who said the same at this point in the 2020 race.”

Kamala… They Are Coming for You.

The Cackling Vice President, Kamala Harris, is the domino that will fall first.

by ARNOLD STEINBERG

If Biden is set to go, Kamala Harris must go first. A half century ago, when the Republican Establishment thought Nixon’s days as president were numbered, they decided they didn’t want VP Spiro Agnew around. So Agnew pled no contest to a felony charge of tax invasion. Gerald Ford became vice president, Nixon resigned, Ford became president, then in 1976 lost to Jimmy Carter. Watergate played a role. Can Biden scandals do it this time?

If they can’t find anything compromising in the past of Kamala Harris, Gov. Gavin Newsom could fulfill his pledge to appoint a black woman to Dianne Feinstein’s Senate by convincing Feinstein to resign, then appointing Harris to her seat. Better yet, Harris then could displace Chuck Schumer and become the “first woman” and “first black woman” to be Senate majority leader. (She’s relatively young; if she transitions, Democrats might back her for president in the future.)

* * * * * * * *

The powers in the Democratic Party can no more gamble on Kamala than on Joe. If either is on the ticket, more than the White House is at stake. Republicans would expand, not lose, their House majority. And Democrats would certainly lose their precarious hold on the Senate.

Their best hope is an election that again is a referendum on Donald Trump; but regardless of who the Republican nominee is, not a referendum on Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

Kamala must go before Joe does, certainly before Joe announces he won’t run.

One way or another — Kamala, they’re coming for you, and then Joe.

According to the AP/NORC poll this week, Biden remains bottomed out on overall job approval and on the economy, where he has remained for the past 18 months:

President Joe Biden has devoted the past several weeks to promoting the positive impacts of his policies — but his efforts have yet to meaningfully register with the public.

Only 36% of U.S. adults approve of Biden’s handling of the economy, slightly lower than the 42% who approve of his overall performance, according to the new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

Both figures are close to where Biden’s approval numbers have stood for about the past year and a half, including just two months ago. Signs of an improving economic outlook have done little to sway how people feel about the Democratic president as he gears up for a 2024 reelection campaign that could pit him against his predecessor and 2020 opponent, Republican Donald Trump.

Forty-two? How did Biden get to 42% approval rating?, you may be asking yourself. The answer is, in part, that it’s relatively easy to do that in a poll where the sample consists of 44% Democrats and 36% Republicans, including leaners. But even with that, Biden can’t even match his own party’s sample representation in the poll for his job approval.

Polls don't matter. Popularity doesn't matter.

Democrats have too many fake registrations and pre-filled ballots.

Biden got the most votes in US History without having to campaign; isolated in his basement.

I'm predicting a Biden win with over 90million votes; with a repeat of the 3am swing.

Also...

Trump will be found guilty, sentenced to 100+ years in jail next year, but will win all his appeals in 2025 and serve no time.

Legal scholars increasingly raise constitutional argument that Trump should be barred from presidency

Yet Luttig and Tribe’s writings capture a conversation about the Constitution and the 2021 insurrection that is likely to grow heading into the 2024 election season.

They and others base their arguments on a reading of part of the 14th Amendment, a post-Civil War provision that excludes from future office anyone who, previously, as a sworn-in public official, “engaged in insurrection or rebellion … or [had] given aid or comfort to the enemies” of the government.

The pair write: “Having thought long and deeply about the text, history, and purpose of the Fourteenth Amendment’s disqualification clause for much of our professional careers, both of us concluded some years ago that, in fact, a conviction would be beside the point.

“The former president’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, and the resulting attack on the U.S. Capitol, place him squarely within the ambit of the disqualification clause, and he is therefore ineligible to serve as president ever again.”

THE ONLY REASON COULD BE RACISM:

WaPo columnist: If Biden retires and Harris doesn’t get nominated, watch out.

The choice of Kamala Harris was Joe Biden’s bid to paper over anger among Democrats over nominating another old white man in a cycle where their activists wanted a “diversity” ticket. Harris was supposed to carry that effort herself, but proved so inept and incompetent that Tulsi Gabbard demolished her in the early debates.

Harris couldn’t even make it to Thanksgiving, let alone an actual primary contest, and yet Biden picked her anyway expressly as the future of the party.

In the three years since, Harris has proven even worse at politics. She manages to make Biden look coherent, no easy feat. As the party’s presidential nominee, Harris would prove utterly disastrous, and at least some Democrats know this.

But if Biden retires and the party doesn’t nominate Harris, all of the bad blood over the diversity promises of 2020 will explode. That will be especially true if the party nominates Gavin Newsom instead, who notably angered the black and female activists in the party by appointing Alex Padilla to fill out the rest of Harris’ term in the Senate rather than another black woman.

This won’t be a Kennedy-Carter contest but an explosion of identity-politics grudges and fury, much more 1968 than 1980.

I mean, sure, she’s totally unqualified. But so was Biden, and the establishment carried him across the finish line.

More Than Three-Quarters of Americans Say Biden Would Be Too Old to Be Effective If Reelected

by Brittany Bernstein

Seventy-seven percent of Americans say President Biden would be too old to be effective if he were reelected in 2024, according to a new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs poll.

Sixty-nine percent of Democrats said Biden, who would be 86 at the end of a hypothetical second term, is too old to be effective for another four years. Eighty-nine percent of Republicans said the same. Biden became the oldest president to take the oath of office when he was sworn-in in January 2021

BIDEN VS. TRUMP, BY THE NUMBERS

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday on its own extensive poll on Joe Biden and Donald Trump. The article begins:

Voters overwhelmingly think President Biden is too old to run for re-election and give him low marks for handling the economy and other issues important to their vote, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll that offers a stark warning to the 80-year-old incumbent ahead of the 2024 contest.

Specifically:

73% of voters said they feel Biden is too old to seek a second term, compared with 47% of voters who said the same of the 77-year-old Trump. Two-thirds of Democrats said Biden was too old to run again.

Emphasis added. And, remarkably, only 36% of respondents think Biden is “mentally up for the job.”

Biden also scores poorly on the issues. He is under water on the economy, 37%/59%, with respondents saying the economy has gotten worse rather than better in the last two years by 58%/28%. Biden is under water on inflation and the cost of living, 34%/63%, and on the border, 30%/63%.

So voters think Biden is too old to run, isn’t mentally capable of being president, and has done a terrible job on the economy and the border. With those numbers he can’t possibly be re-elected, right?

Wrong, if he runs against Donald Trump. The Journal poll finds the two men tied at 46%/46%, despite Biden’s horrific drawbacks. Why? Voters think Biden is more likable and more honest, and a lot of them think Trump is too old and not up to the job, either. And, of course, a great number of them simply hate Trump, for various reasons.

Also, if you wonder how Biden can possibly be competitive, part of the answer is that Democrats don’t care about the same things you do:

Democrats plan to rally supporters behind issues such as abortion rights, which proved a key factor in the party outperforming expectations in the 2022 midterm elections. Abortion was the top priority among Democrats in the Journal poll, with 16% naming it as the issue most important to their 2024 vote, ahead of the economy and climate, which each stood at 12%.

Now that abortion has been returned to the states, it makes no sense for it to be your number one priority in a presidential candidate. Nevertheless, this is where we are.

But here is the point: the Democrats aren’t going to nominate Joe Biden.

They are just hoping he can limp through the next year so they don’t have to deal with Kamala Harris. Gavin Newsom is 25 years younger than Biden, isn’t burdened with Biden’s record in office or his growing scandals, and is a far more plausible demagogue and liar than Biden. If nominated, as I think he will be, and if Trump is the GOP nominee, Newsom will crush him. The only Democrat against whom Trump can run a competitive race is Joe Biden.

WATCH: James Clyburn Fires 2024 Warning Shot at Joe Biden as Kamala Harris Gets More Bad News

5dad6068-165d-4ad3-bda5-68b0fcaec8b0-105

We reported over the weekend how President Joe Biden was hit with a wave of more bad polling news, with an ABC News/Washington Post poll giving him a 64 percent disapproval rating with voters on the economy (and showing him trailing 10 points behind Trump in a general election match-up). An NBC News poll showed Biden down by double digits among key Democratic voting blocs and with a 72 percent disapproval on the economy.

Something not widely reported on but also of obvious concern to the Biden-Harris campaign was Vice President Kamala Harris' net favorability rating. NBC News had it at 31% positive and 51% negative, which was worse than what they showed for Biden and Trump.

Former House Majority Whip and current Assistant Democratic Leader in the House James Clyburn (D-S.C.) appeared on "Meet the Press" Sunday to discuss in part the ongoing polling woes of Biden and Harris headed into 2024 and what he thought it meant for the campaign at this stage in the game.

Reading between the lines there you can see a subtle warning shot sent to Biden, which is: Don't even think about dropping her off the ticket, buddy.

Clyburn, as readers may remember, was instrumental in pressuring Biden in 2020 on the issue of nominating a woman of color as his running mate as a condition for his support. And Clyburn's announcement in late Feb. 2020 that he backed Biden prior to the South Carolina primary was considered pivotal to Biden's "comeback" in the campaign.

Sen. Tim Scott's Latest Political Ad Draws a Line on What It Means to Be Pro-Life

By Jennifer Oliver O'Connell

Scott is authentically and unapologetically pro-life. You can tell it's not an intellectual exercise to him. Blacks and Hispanics are disproportionately targeted by the death merchants (see, Sanger, Margaret) for abortions under the guise of economic freedom. What boggles my mind is that Black Democrats and Black activists are always screaming about targeting POCs and genocide, when they allow this genocide in their midst and do not bat an eyelash.

Scott is not only calling his fellow Republicans out on this issue, he is calling the Left out, and his personal story, coupled with his record is a strong testament to the strength embodied in the message.

Scott is working hard to forge his own path in this presidential primary madness. While he will be a part of the second presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, polling still has him trailing behind tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and former Pence. On his personal story, clarity of vision, and legislative record alone, he should be doing much better.

'He seems super old': NY Times discusses concerns about Joe Biden

FTA:

My own feeling is that these two issues are the bulk of why he’s doing so poorly in polls.

People are grumpy about inflation which the administration said would be transitory but wasn’t.

On top of that, the guy in charge seems old and slow and not really up to it anymore. That makes him vulnerable and it also means there’s probably nothing much he can do about it. Inflation may drop further but Joe Biden will be another year older before the next election and there’s just no way that helps him.

Two new Republican primary polls of the early nominating contests of New Hampshire and South Carolina have the same two top takeaways.

Former President Donald Trump enjoys a significant lead in both early states, and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley has established herself in second place — for now.

In New Hampshire, according to a USA Today/Boston Globe/Suffolk University poll, Trump gets support from 49% of likely Republican primary voters, Haley gets 19%, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis gets 10%, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie gets 6%, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., both get 4%.

In South Carolina, meanwhile, a Winthrop University poll has Trump at 51% among Republican voters, Haley at 17%, DeSantis at 12% and Scott at 6%.
