Trump, Melania Test Positive for COVID 19

Not True.  His administration put out guidelines months ago to states including mask recommendations and in nearly every state masks have been required at some point or currently when entering a business or government building.  Governors make that determination within each state.

Not true. trumps leadership was to not wear a mask, to not social dustance and to be in large groups where he encouraged not to use masks. That is the worst possible example of leadership.

Results

211,000 dead

7500000 cases

23 people in his close circle get covid19

His country is divided in the battle vs civid19

His written mandates have little effect.

It's  like you telling your son not to use heroin as he watches you stick a needle in your arm twice a day as you say don't be afraid of addiction.

Governors take responsibility as well, but trump is the leader (once of the free world but no longer),

You had tens of thousands of people in the streets in cities across the country, scattershot mask discipline and virtually no social distancing, in cities across the country.  It went on night after night after night.  The protests were met with encouragement and approval of democrat leadership across the country, and quite frankly by many republicans.

Yet, in NY for example, churches, restaurants, bars, and hair salons with a max capacity of 25 were closed for an extended period of time under threat of criminal and civil penalties.  When reopened, max capacity was limited to 25% occupancy.

The story you are selling may be one you believe, but it is a work of fiction.

On the other hand, maybe you believe the death toll would be under 25,000 absent the massive and sustained protests.

Many politicians made mistakes, but trump  is the leader...and shows terrible examples, and he is most responsible.

Letting people continue to make a choice that is dangerous is ridiculous. If the FDA finds food with a killing  bacteria does trump allow citizens to continue to buy and use or do they insist on a recall and not allow citizens to buy it for their own protection. Does he then openly eat that food and get sick and claim he feels the best in 20 years. Of course he doesn't. And that bacteria may only cause 10000 illnesses and 100 deaths?

Trump is the worst leader in the last century.

The best thing we can do is open up fully, get as many people infected as possible, while isolating what we now know to be the vulnerable. This is NOT a killer virus for the vast, vast, vast majority of the population! Your food analogy is way off. This would be more akin to shutting down the country because some people have a peanut allergy.

peanut allergy is far more dangerous to those compromised than the china flu is to all but the old with health problems

flu is cheaper to treat with $.10 per dose HCQ and zinc

If it weren't for covid, the Left would have likely gotten around to blaming Trump for peanut allergies and the flu before the election.

I’m not sure where you’re going there, but I’m convinced that our strategy has been completely wrong...but totally predictable when we trust government to solve these big policy issues. This is no different from screening little old ladies in airports or having people take off their shoes. Government is good for mobilization of PPE for sure, but horrible at risk aversion. In fact, government is the reason we have become so overly regulated. We were never supposed to be a society that eliminated ALL risks. This is now the philosophical center of the debate! It’s really a shame more people aren’t talking about it, including the media and the candidates.

Had Trump declared strict nationwide mandatory protocols?  “This is great news!  We agree with him 100% on this decision!” would have been said by very few if any on the left. That’s the hilarious part of all this.

And, unfortunately, we’ll never know because of his myopic focus on medicinal Lysol, magic, and bleach to counteract the pandemic.   Well done, Trumpers.

Worst president since at least James Buchanan.  Maybe the worst president ever.

I personally credit Katie Couric for cementing my cynicism with respect to trust in the media.

She was the headliner on a news story about Zimmerman/Trayvon, and deceptively cut and edited the 911 call Zimmerman made. The edit changed the context of the call, and was unnecessary unless the intent was to create a better version of the story.

President Trump is reportedly believed to have picked up COVID-19 at the nomination event for Amy Coney Barrett.

Trump, along with dozens of West Wing staffers, Republican senators, and outsiders, gathered in the Rose Garden on Saturday, Sept. 26, for Barrett's formal nomination to the Supreme Court. Many lawmakers later gathered with Barrett inside the White House.

White House medical staff have since traced that event to the arrival of COVID-19 in the White House, people familiar with the matter tell Bloomberg.
