Up next: Why it’s time to check our bias at the door and lean into the discomfort that is necessary for real change.” Wait until Velshi discovers that he works alongside Al Sharpton. As Treacher writes in response: America didn’t kill George Floyd. “Whiteness” or “systemic racism” or any other trendy buzzword didn’t kill George Floyd. Those cops did. They’re in jail now, awaiting trial. Good. That’s it. That’s all I owe anybody. Hell, I don’t even owe anybody that much. "white" people are from all over the globe with widely different characteristics but lets just lump a group together solely based on skin pigmentation. italians are exactly the same as irish. not really. they both have extremely different physical traits, food, language, customs, and history both native and arrival into this country. German, Polish, Swedish, Australian. French, the differences never really ends but its easier to combine them then to see them as individual cultures...your white. many "whites" were considered a minority for a long time and dealt with a extreme amount of racism themselves. greg are people of jewish faith "white"? just curious since you've judged some in this thread of white supremacy, how deep do your racial catagories go? im not a racist so just wondering how people like you view things that aren't easy to group visually. anyways what racism are you actively against greg? the poll is unclear. it seems your going straight for the hot button issue that's been drilled in your head from the media. "white" on "black"? is that it? come on greg true activism does not need echo chambers and edited stories that push a focused narratives. got any posts for the ongoing slavery in muslim countries? its ONGOING as in not in the past its..happening right now! how about hong kong? is it just race? are you activley against the oppression of people regardless of race?..again its happening now! i think we need alot more polls to figure this out greg. I just posed this question in another thread largely because I'm curious if there's actually anyone not dominantly white who frequents this forum. If you pose that as a poll and people are honest and the vast majority of consistent posters claim they are, I think it answers a lot of questions. Sincere question: How does the simple fact of whether or not one is caucasian, without knowing anything else about that person (traits, life experiences, education, etc.) answer any question at all, other than, "Are you caucasian?" Mocked steadily, picked on and having to continually fight because I was a 'polack'. Black eyes and bloody noses as a kid/young teen were a given. Guess I was lucky compared to today. Let's say, 8o% is White, 10% is Black, 4% is Hispanic, 2% is Asian, 1% is Native American, 1% is pacific Islander, and 2% is some other race/ethnicity. What exactly is "revealing" about that? Their biggest enemy is a rational conversation. That's all he was looking to do. Now maybe that wasn't the best time for it but their reactions to it was very telling. Here is the perfect example of their inability to have a rational and sane conversation. @GregPersons Had he come here and started with this?: Hey guys I want to open a conversation that I think is very controversial but I believe in it strongly and I'd like to hear your opinion. Do you honestly think that's the breakdown in terms of consistent posters in PPP? I would be pleased and quite surprised if at least 20% of those who frequent this forum are minorities.
