Punching Bag
I know his father played in NFL as lineman so he has the bloodline. I have seen tackles only 265 pounds but they were shorter. The Bills were almost down to using him. Should they give him some time in practice? Take your cut Lee Smith to your own thread.

Buffalo Barbarian
Probably but Bates will get the call. Also looks bigger than

What year was the 265 tackle? 1989?
Poleshifter
Would Lee Smith need to wear a different jersey number, as he would be ineligible-to-receive?

When he's in there no one expects you to throw it to the TE then BAM out of nowhere a wide open easy catch.
billspro
Probably in an emergency but he would need big time help on every play.

Bob in STL
Yes. In an emergency he could move to RT. The Bills have had several TE's that had to spend some time playing tackle. Paul Costa in the 60's and Paul Seymour in the 70's come to mind. Edited October 6, 2019 by Bob in STL 1

Gray Beard
Jason Peters was a tight end who bulked up and moved to tackle.

Yes he had the rep with Raiders fans - if you fail to cover him adequately he will get the ball. Just now, Gray Beard said: Jason Peters was a tight end who bulked up and moved to tackle. Yes but I am talking about an emergency which almost occurred and IF it happens would it better for him to take some snaps in practice. It Bills did not have healthy tackles before game I expect they would make a roster change before game. 16 minutes ago, krf139 said: Automatic holding penalty would come If you were a zebra yes.
frostbitmic
The over under on holding flags and false starts thrown at him would be 4 1/2 per game.

At 265 he would still be 20 pounds lighter the smallest O-linemen in the league.
