McCabe Speaks Out

Former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe said in an interview that aired Thursday that he authorized an investigation into President Trump’s ties to Russia a day after meeting with him in May 2017 out of fear that he could soon be fired.

“I was very concerned that I was able to put the Russia case on absolutely solid ground in an indelible fashion that were I removed quickly or reassigned or fired that the case could not be closed or vanish in the night without a trace,” McCabe told CBS.

His comments were the first time McCabe has publicly addressed why he opened an investigation into Trump following the firing of former FBI director James B. Comey, whose post McCabe took over.

CBS aired a portion of an interview scheduled to air in full on “60 Minutes” on Sunday.

 

“I was speaking to the man who had just run for the presidency, and won the election for the presidency, and who might have done so with the aid of the government of Russia, our most formidable adversary on the world stage, and that was something that troubled me greatly,” McCabe said, recalling his first meeting with Trump.

In the clip that aired, McCabe did not address specific evidence that led him to believe Trump should be investigated personally.

He gets blocked for the same reason I block anyone: virtually everything he posts is useless gibberish. When he gets called out on his useless gibberish, he posts things specifically meant to flip you out.

I use the ignore feature quite liberally (maybe 20-25 board members), and it makes the experience so much better.

 

I deal with enough stupid in my regular day to day that I don't feel the need to invite into what I consider leisure.

 

What I also do, is revisit each ignored member every 6 months or so to see if they've improved their posting habits, with a few exceptions.

 

Those I ignore because I find them to be morally repugnant don't get revisited.  Only three members have made that list:  LA Dexter, LA Grant, and Exiled.

Correct. And let's remember, this is now the fourth time the "start date" of the investigation has been moved, though this is the first time it's been moved forward to when he was President Elect. 

 

The DOJ immediately pushed back on McCabe's most "soundbyte worthy" claim: 

 

 

Rolling McCabe out now signals a couple things: 

1) He knows he's going to be indicted and he's trying to get ahead of it: 

 

 

2) We are likely about to get another major indictment coming down the pike. 

 

3) The coup plotters are using their media contacts to try to revive the palace coup. (Goes to check lawfare... oh, what do you know?)

i have about 60 ignored names in the cage, some are back in good standing again (sometimes it was "just me" for a few days)

 

i'm proud to state that 2/3 of them have not been around for at least 6 months now

But it was based upon past actions. Nothing wrong with that. Criminals like Trump don't just turn into angels.

Funny you mention columns. Flashback to Trump's first speech (post inauguration) at LANGLEY:

It's a "joke"... but also a promise. A bold statement made by a man who at that time (and still today) was being shelled by this corrupt fifth column. He highlights the point again, and looks right at them as he does so.

 

He's still standing, and they keep getting fired. It's almost like Trump/Flynn/Rogers had a plan in place from Day One and took the fight to the enemy.

 

Wonder what will happen next;)
