Howard Schultz for President. Could be interesting middle of the road?

He's got a better shot than Bloomberg running as an independent.  He is the human manifestation of Benadryl.

If he had bonafide centrist positions in an age of hard right/hard left politics and media, he'd at least make it interesting.  Does he offer anything besides being nicer than Trump and not as wacky as the Democrats?  Does he have a real plan for anything or is he just another bored billionaire that enjoys basking in the glow of his own press?

There will be many complimentary stories this far out. Especially since he is very critical of President Trump.

However, if he is still running close to the election, and is taking votes from Democrat candidate X..............he will be squashed by the media  ala Bernie.

He'd be smart to use some of his fortune to buy a few media companies before the DNC can do that. Gives him a platform to counter their smears.

I will keep an eye on this, I have never come across him in any public capacity.

He hasn't been terribly public - in a political sense, and although he's a life-long Democrat, he's really bothered by the hard left shift the leaders of that party which is little more now than a bag of professionally outraged self-proclaimed victims.

He's a billionaire who bought Starbucks from the original founders and transformed it into the big fat corporation that it is today. He used to own the Seattle Supersonics and the WNBA team there, but sold them both.

He's written books about how he ran Starbucks into the stratosphere and has been interviewed on CNBC and FoxBusiness among others.

He's making the Dems apoplectic because he would definitely draw voters away from whomever their nominee is.

What do you bet that the GOP and the Russians will do everything possible to surreptitiously promote @HowardSchultz among Democratic constituencies, to drain the maximum number of votes from the D POTUS nominee?

RUSSIANS !!!!

This theory will only grow in the coming weeks and months:

He'll be squashed by California, Oregon, and NY refusing to list him as a candidate long before then.

He needs to be preemptively impeached, because running Starbucks and being President violates the emoluments clause something something something...

He sells coffee there that comes from Colombian and/or African beans. COLLUSION!

In addition, one of the farmers who grows his beans forgot to recycle waste products one time 30 years ago. HE'S ANTI ENVIRONMENT!
