I watched it and was glad to see Uncle Joe stand up for himself and not cower in an apology. I hate this whole thing now that you go find something someone did 30+ years ago when times were different and beat them over the head with it. He was actually making a case for states rights which was interesting but he stuck to it, AND HE WAS RIGHT. I saw it more as a screw up by Senator Harris when she called on him to denounce his 30+ year old decision and he didn't do it. Reminded me of the Lazio/Hillary moment when Lazio tried to get her to sign something. If the other person doesn't do what you challenge them to you look like a fool which she did at the end of that when Uncle Joe basically told her to pound salt. I don't like Uncle Joe and will not vote for him, but I thought he did well here. And on the busing, I remember busing. People didn't like it not just because they were racists (some were no doubt), but they didn't want their kids to wake up an hour earlier to ride a bus one hour each way and get home from school an hour later when there was a perfectly fine school within walking distance. I also read an article in the paper today explaining how men were interrupting (manterrupting) the most. I don't know. The lady on end interrupted several times they just wouldn't listen to her. Gildebrand interrupted almost constantly. Senator Harris sure got her share of interruptions in. And I wouldn't put it past the DNC to cut Andrew's mic. And then she pontificated and campaigned (toe-may-toe, toe-mah-toe). When people say the "fixing" for the democrats went on in 2016, they should look further back to 2008. The first hand stories (as in it happened to them) about super delegates were threatened by the Obama people to vote for him and not Hillary were written on many on the blogs I was reading at the time. What the DNC did to award some of Hillary's Michigan delegates to Obama when he didn't bother to put himself on the ticket there was another "odd" move. There were a lot of "peculiarities" that went down in 2008 that eventually led to 2016. I often wonder what happened during that Obama-Clinton meeting when she didn't protest and force a floor vote. Remember Obama's first debate with Romney. He was as unprepared and as embarrassing as you can be in a debate with having the name Dan Quayle. Yet he still won. Who knows, even without the phantom jobs Willie gave her she might still be where she is today. Note: photos makes that all moot. She couldn't politically survive (on a national level) a photo expose of her participating in a swingers party. Americans for the most part, are prudes and that is a bridge too far.
