They probably agreed to "turn up the heat" in a bid for ratings. Trivia discussions can only hold listeners attention so long.

Maybe Mike can join 5 more fantasy leagues so we can hear all about them.

I dont think Dawkins sucks actually I think he is a good player

Rest of the OL making him look bad in my opinion....and he might be a better LG the LT

I was wondering how he'd do at RT, with Glenn healthy

Like I said, when it comes down to "beat your 1 guy, don't let him beat you", I've been watching Dawkins get marched back more than I thought I would.

Has me questioning

Yeah I heard Sal and Schoop getting into it this afternoon.  Something about team Culture which Sal thinks is important during good and bad times...while Mike thinks culture means squat.

Sounded like Schoop hates being challenged on his points, or disagreed with.  Probably why he and the bulldog fella get along.  That guy never says anything original.

I think Schoop intimidates Bulldog.

Do you think they're gonna be extending Dawkins?

I've been trying to figure out the run blocking and watching a lot of OL.  I'm underimpressed, just when it's 1:1 and the challenge is "beat your guy, don't let him beat you"

I think they love Dawkins.

He's one of THEIR guys.

But I think when it comes down to it there will be a difference of opinion between the Bills and his agent about how much was given to him and how much was earned.

I actually don't mind the show as long as they aren't talking trivia, or fantasy football, or stats... which adds up to 75% of the show. They occasionally have good guests... that's about it.

I mean, I get you - if you’re not into fantasy football that can be annoying. But it’s a general sports show; for better or worse fantasy football is a valid topic on a show like theirs given its popularity. I don’t know what you mean by “stats,” but if you’re referring to conversations on advanced stats and analytics Schoop is always going to talk about those. White does the same thing in the morning. They are both huge believers in advanced stats in football and hockey. Personally, I am not convinced they translate as well to those sports as they do to baseball, but you’re gonna have to get used to them talking about it. A lot.

Some fantasy talk is cool, some stat talk is cool, they do it all the time...not cool.

And I don't have to get used to anything... I just don't listen to the station.

Yup I agree. And that is the correct way to voice displeasure with that - just don’t listen.

some people I talk to actually think Schoop’s pretentiousness is endearing. Never been able to figure out why.

I like some of what he does, but stats/fantasy/trivia...they all kinda go together, kind of a scientific approach (yes, even triva is tied in to that in a way). I'm not interested that.

I don't really care that he is abrasive. I don't dislike him so much as I'm not interested in the things he apparently finds fascinating.

Yeah I didn’t even address the trivia thing earlier, that is lame for the most part.

I still can’t believe Schoop is in like 15-20 fantasy leagues (so he says.) That is such overkill it’s farcical.

They just kinda went at it again.  More Sal going after Schoop.

I really don't believe Sal likes him.

because Schopp likes to be contrarian, he thinks he knows how football should be done and that is with the few superstars model versus the everyone is very good model that the Bills are using.

What are the yard totals for TT against the Jets dating back last year?

I'd predict around 100 yards passing for 2 or 3 games.

What??

If Schopp is off all week and it's just Bulldog, I almost can't listen.  Bulldog just has nothing to say and his stammering is really hard to listen to.  He is skilled at talking for 5 or 10 minutes straight, however, while saying absolutely nothing.

If the reverse is the case, I can listen just fine, despite Schopp's flaws.

At the end of the day he offers the most intelligent voice on that station.  That he may be abrasive or harsh to idiot callers really doesn't bother me at all.  I don't notice it nearly as much as others here apparently do.

Yeah, "Bulldog" is awful. Schopp is clearly more polished, but he is so self indulgent. When I have heard him  guesting on a national broadcast he sounds pretty damn good (I remember him giving Bills updates on The Herd), with concise information. But filling airtime on a local show he falls back on time killers like trivia. I really hate trivia, or stuff like "who was the best Bills punter?"

..let's spend the afternoon ranking Bills punters. Yay.

Or some ridiculous crap along the lines of "let's match Sabres to Bills! Which Buffalo Sabre would you consider the "Thurman Thomas" of the Sabres? Who is the Scott Arniel of the Bills?"

Just inane nonsense, a complete waste of airtime. It's actually insulting that they can't come up with more interesting bits. Like "we can just feed these idiots anything".

But they actually seem to ENJOY these kinds of discussions. They think it's "fun".

Yes:  Anyone remember the Miserable game TT had last year against the Jets on Thursday night Football.  Then again against the Jets this year with Cleveland.  He sucks. He is brutal.  SO many TT lovers on here.

I don’t understand where Shopp shows this incredible intelligence. It is certainly not sports intelligence. Most of what he says about Football is either flat out wrong or ludicrous. That’s why Sal hammered him. At some point there is only so much a person can hear without reacting. Maybe the guy was a great science student or something but I’m not sure why all these listeners feel he is of some higher intelligence. Honestly I feel like he is an idiot 95% of the time and fails to even comprehend basic Football. All the guy does is pick out random things that he finds “interesting” If you aren’t sure which things are “interesting” he will tell you over and over again. The guy hammered the Bills all week last week and went on and on about this point spread. Then the Bills dominate the Vikings in Minnesota and Shopp gives them no credit. Picking the games last night Shopp basically just does a fly over on the Bills Packers game and acts as if last week meant nothing. Pretty much gave Buffalo no chance and wasn’t sure how anyone could feel different. The guy is just a complete !@#$.
