Jets game proved teams are built in the trenches

I’m stating the obvious but having an incompetent oline coach with the losses of Richie to the CIA and Eric Wood to retirement really set us back this year no cohesion means being careful with Josh instead of letting him learn and getting stuck with Nate cause you didn’t want to get Josh killed... Jets had a solid oline already now Sam can just keep learning on the job

Jets’ play design and pass pro tonight have been perfectly tailored for a rookie qb making his first start.  Darnold has been under very little pressure from the Lions’ pass rush.

Totally agree! Very impressed with Jets coordinators, OL, and DB's. Seem vastly improved in all areas. They've been blowing the Lions off the ball from the opening kickoff. I know it's the Lions but I also know how sharp the Jets look. If the Lions ARE weak, the Jets are doing what a good team should do. Blow them out.

makes the line look much better when the defence isn't just rushing everybody at them because they know the QB can't make a pass to his own team.....

Not saying their oline is good, but they will look better with a QB thats a threat in the passing game.

The Jets seem to be light years ahead of us and they have 100m in cap room next year.  I don’t see a silver lining amy time soon

The Jets are playing the loins who have a new HC that looks like a deer in headlights. We will probably be fighting them for the #1 overall pick next year.  The Dolphins and Jets still play the Patriots 2x like we do.

After this game, the Jets play the Dolphins, Browns, and Jags. Let's talk again then.

I think last years Thursday night game was a great example of this.

We got absolutely manhandled on both sides of the LOS by the Jets.

Expect more of the same this year considering the terrible state of our lines.

Damn Scotty, you are one negative, NEGATIVE dude.  You must be real fun at dinner parties

The loss of two starters at OL was a bad thing?  Are you sure?

This game reminded me of that TNF game from last season. The Lions were the Bills with a better QB . Looked damn similar though.

Expect it to at least mid week after losses this year....then these punchbowl pissers will be no where to be found after a win

Losing 47-3 will do that not really negative but we are behind making a run next year due to oline issues that won’t fix themselves in one season 3 spots need upgrading along with a couple receivers, another running back, and the pass rush...the Jets play solid d and have a stable oline they can now just let Darnold start all year learn on the job as he goes which would have been the plan here if we didn’t have multiple departures
