McBean tanking rebuild in full effect

The number of plays out of the shotgun formation is the red herring that not only does the GM/HC know that we have a subpar OL, they don’t intend to do anything to address it this season.

Apparently the process doesn’t include protecting the most important position. And presumably the top picks in the next draft will go to DL. It doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Unless McDermott’c clapping can revive both Tinkerbell AND the floundering careers of our penalty ridden OL, the most productive time spent this season on Sundays will be speculating on next years draft.

Beane spent about 20 million on Star, murphy and Davis,, which is not looking like money well spent ..  left the team  short 1 corner . three o lineman and 2 starting wide receivers

It is hard to have a worst offseason

.

Who are the UFAs in Carolina next year so we know who these two are going to over pay next year

They just get their friends from North Carolina on the payroll.   Our owner better wake up and bring in a football guru  to oversee things. This is starting to look like Denver with Josh McDaniels.

Too bad they didn’t hire Jim  Schwartz. I know that he had some baggage but at least he had coached before and was successful.

Coleman and McCarron moves were head scratchers when considering how they ended only adding to the the salary cap.

.....after today, with Vontae Davis a healthy scratch, lots of their personnel moves are looking like blind leading the blind

McBeane inhereted a bloated salary cap witch necesitatated jetesoning talent just to make ends meet. If we had kept Darius, Tyrod, and Glenn we wouldn’t have even had cash to sign rookies. Even if Star and Murphy end up failing on the line we only made them the 227th and 355th highest paid players. In other words marginal starter salary. So we had a team with salary crunch, weak Oline, QB, WR, Dline and LB. that is not a receipt for success. They addressed D line and QB. So far it looks like they drafted well and that their marginal starters are playing like marginal starters.  Trust the process clearly meant, get ready for a rebuild, so far there is no reason to believe the rebuild is doomed.

Just like the Bills to get the #1 pick and not draft a QB, which we all know is the case. A DT will fix everything.

The fact that we got rid of AJ and now Nate appears to be a train wreck could prove to be really lucky.

Why?  B/C we may HAVE to play Allen almost all season long, and get him going sooner than we otherwise would feel comfortable with.  In turn we will get a good long look at him.

If we truly end up with #1 pick next year, maybe another QB would not be out of the question.

Depends on many things, including Allen's development this year.

They could not have filled all the holes on this roster in 1 offseason anyways. I think to say that he does not "intend: to fix the problem makes no sense. Of course they all want to fix the problem at OBD. The real question is can they.

We couldn’t afford to resign Watkins who got 16 mil. Darius was the biggest underperformer based of salary in the NFL, we saved 54 mil on him. Glenn was an injury problem, he already got hurt this year. Darby was average at best this past year, and he can’t play zone we got a 3rd for him.

The cap was the biggest player in a lot of these decisions.

Exactly how were they supposed to fix both lines, the wideouts the linebackers and the QB with one draft and 20 mil in cap space. They picked their spots and did their best.

Reading comprehension isn't strong with this one.

Watkins wasn't going to stay, and we weren't going to pay him what KC did.

Dareus was basically useless for the amount of money we were paying him.

Glenn couldn't stay healthy.

Darby is a head-scratcher. I don't know why they got rid of him. If read what the guy said, we had to get rid of some guys to get out of cap hell.

I draft another QB again if we get a Top 5 pick.

I don't know if anyone coming out looks like a top prospect.

Which, could be unfortunate for us. If Allen does look like a Franchise guy we could parlay our top pick into more picks for a QB desperate team trading up.
