The General Predictions for the season thread

Just use this thread to state what you think or hope will happen, on offense, defense, special teams, coaching, specific players, etc. Please don't turn this into a QB thread.

*I think Star will be one of the keys to the season. If he is good he will have a dramatic affect on the defense, and especially in the pass game. I think Jerry Hughes returns to double digit sacks simply because QBs cannot step up into a massive pocket like they did last year. Hughes was good last year, opposing QBs too easily avoided being sacked by him by stepping up.

*I think Ray Ray and maybe Marcus Murphy can and will play a key role in Daboll's offense, along with Croom or Thomas. Ray Ray, when healthy, will play a gadget role, and several times a game may get jet sweeps, WR screens, RPOs, plays lined up as RB where he goes in motion, etc. Early on, if Ray Ray is still slowed by injury, Murphy may play that role.

*I fear that there will be games our secondary, the strength of our team, will let us down. I love all three good players in Hyde, Porter and Tre, but they were so vary good last year I worry that we all expect them to be great every game and chances are they won't be, plus teams will know a lot more about them this year. I worry about Davis and Gaines, although I like what I see from Taron.

*Depending on how well Murphy actually performs in real games, I see Shady not having great stats because he won't get the carries. I think Ivory gets a few touches per game and Murphy, too, keeping Shady fresh. We need him of course, but that three headed monster of different styles may be needed to keep defenses off balance due to our crappy blocking.

*I think Daboll is going to try to replicate part of the Patriots old two-TE offense, using Clay in the Gronk role and Croom in the Hernandez role. Of course, neither of our guys equate to their guys, but Clay gets open and Croom has size and speed and skills in the Hernandez role. I think we see a lot of formations early trying to do that. The results I have no idea.

*Trent Murphy, if healthy, a big if, will be quite good.

*Tremaine Edmunds will be a huge polarizing figure because he will not be so great early on and fans will wrongly fixate on certain replays where he takes himself clearly out of the play and beat it to death.

*Similarly, Zay Zay will be consistently erratic and drive the fan base and this board insane, playing way better than he did last year but still a lot of bonehead plays or drops or not knowing where he is on the field.

I still say we're looking at a 3-13 or 4-12 season at best.  Their schedule, up until the Colts game on October 21, is absolutely brutal and then there are the two Pats games and the Jags on Thanksgiving weekend.  I even see the Colts game as a tossup, given that it's in Indianapolis and, if Luck is healthy and back to his old form, he and TY Hilton and Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle will have a field day against our defense.

The only games I see us winning, are both Dolphins games and maybe the Jets at home.

I think Kelvin Benjamin will have a big year.  80 catches, 1,000 yards, 6 TD's.

I think McCoy will have his most rushing yards as a Bill.  He will be around 1,300 rushing yards.

Tremaine Edmunds will have 3 INT's.

Tre White makes 1st team All Pro.

Wow, you must believe in unicorns that fart rainbows too!

I'm thinking 4-12, Peterman is the disaster we all think he will be, Josh Allen will show what he is, and that doesn't happen to be an NFL caliber franchise QB, McBeane is finally out of the honeymoon phase with the fans and starts to take enough heat putting their jobs on the line in 2019. And to top it all off, McCoy will clearly hit the wall.

What teams do you think will be worse then the Bills this year?  I actually wanted to start a thread about this.  Im curious to know what people think.

Hopes and dreams

I hope the Bills kickass and prove the media idiots wrong

I hope Nate can redeem himself and when Josh is ready be traded for a decent draft pick.

I hope for a top 10 defense and at least a top 15 offense.
