Tremaine Edmunds played light & tight

Everything about his game that was not good coming out of college showed up yesterday. He over-pursues, looks like goliath but plays like David sometimes. It was disappointing, but remember, still a rookie. Also, there is definitely a chance he can bust so hopefully he picks it up.

His weaknesses are all mental; he has the physical end taken care of nicely.

There is nothing he can't do from an athletic perspective.  But at this level, that's not good enough.

Luckily there are DVR's for commercials and McClappity

So you don't watch any of the Bills games LIVE?

Face it, this whole team has the clap.

Which is better than a drought

Focused on him the first 3 drives. The kid needs a lot of work. The rookies all looked bad today besides horrible harry

I disagree.

Josh Allen played pretty good, and so did Ray-Ray McCloud. Taron Johnson was decent.

I was reviewing his snaps on game pass this morning

He looked to me like he was playing a little too safe........the whole "well if the guy who is supposed to make the tackle doesnt make it I WILL make the tackle" which of course is not what we want.

Im not gonna eat his lunch for his first game.....but his physical strengths should put him in a position to make plays....but he has to seal the deal and make the tackles.

Thought he was pretty good in pass protection.......but MLB's have to tackle.

Terry Bradshaw only completed 38 percent of his passes in his rookie season, and threw 24 interceptions.

And dinosaurs rulled the world once.    Completing 50% in those days was the gold standard, typically on 20 or so attempts per game...

Some guys aren’t as strong as they look. Not sure if this is true with him yet or he is just raw. But the good thing is he is only 20.

You are most welcome to find a team that has a coach that does not do this

I am also welcome to root for the team I grew up with even if I don't like the silly fake enthusiasm clapping.  You see, not everything is black and white in this world.

No way, the commercial breaks and other stoppages are not worth it. I did watch the game last night live and it was so painful.  Tried to flip between the Bills game and the Browns game, but the damn commercial breaks seemed to be timed so they were together.

Not this nonsense again. Christ.

All he has to do is stop clapping so much, it's silly, he's supposed to be a professional.

The one thing that caught my eye was his over-running plays and then being out of position--the same negatives that were in his draft profile:

Hopefully, he'll continue to absorb the coaching and reps like a sponge and file off those sharp edges.  But it may be putting too much on a 20-year old to do that in his first training camp and four exhibition games.    He'll be a key to the season, one way or another...

Same thing I said, too: he over-commits and gets out of position.  In college, he could make up for it by being an athletic freak.  In the pros, that ain't gonna fly.

His first preseason game isn't the acid test.  His eighth regular-season game should tell us whether or not he can learn to overcome it.
