26CornerBlitz Posted July 31, 2018 Share Posted July 31, 2018 (edited) BUFFALO, N.Y. — Russ Brandon, the former Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres president who was dismissed in May after an internal investigation into workplace behavior and allegations of personal misconduct, has resurfaced at the Buffalo-based New Era Cap headwear company. Two sources informed The Athletic that Brandon has been added to New Era’s executive team, although his role couldn’t be confirmed. Brandon is listed in the company’s dial-by-name phone directory. Phoned about the hire Monday night, New Era CEO Chris Koch replied, “I’ve got no comment at this point” and hung up. I don’t think he should be permanently ostracized either. It just seems a bit awkward that one of the Bills’ biggest corporate partners hired the guy that was unceremoniously shown the door a few months ago. Honestly, I’m sure if they wanted to fire him but Were kinda forced to.
