Well that sucked.  Caps lose 3-2

Look on the bright side, one of these days the Caps will win the Cup

Granted they still have to win several more Cups to catch up to Pittsburgh.  But at least yinz have something to strive for

We used to go to Lightning games when there were only a few dozen people attending. This was the early years and SW Florida didn’t have many hockey fans. You could sit anywhere you wanted, so we moved around and viewed from all different vantage points. One night, when they listed attendance as a couple thousand, but I doubt it was a hundred, a puck flies out into the almost vacant stands....and hits a lady in the forehead, splitting her open. Blood everywhere! It could have gone almost anywhere safely, but this poor lady.....like losing the lottery. Sure, if the place is packed someone is likely to get hit, but....

Next expansion draft rules will be interesting to see.

Indeed. Outside of lucking into Fleury thanks to a loaded Penguins roster, the VGK performance is way above and beyond what it should have been. Their team on paper was not good. Karlsson and Marchessault all of a sudden are stars. Gotta credit the GM and coach, but I still can't believe they are going to the cup.

The NHL has a fan for life now.

?

Yup. Still a little jealous I see. I’m sorry you’re such a snowflake. Get over it and change your twisted panties to boxer briefs. You won’t be so irritable then.

I tried to to become a Sabres fan a couple years ago, but they are never on TV and play lazy. It wasn’t worth the investment. But now I have a hometown team that’s on TV every time they play... and they play tough and fast.

So yeah, I guess you can say the NHL has a fan for life now. ? That’s my face thinking of all the butt-hurt haters who picked us last preseason, and then to get swept in the playoffs.

As much as I hate Taylor Swift’s music, all I can think about when you post is...

All the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate... your sour grapes and tears are so delicious. Thank you ?

Not sure how they lucked into Fleury. Pens have Murray and could dump the expense.

Anyway, they are not only going but I can't see them losing.

Still, having a team of all ABOVE AVERAGE players is appearing better than entertaining crowds with a team of middling and below-average guys, playing along along side 2-5 really above average guys. Next expansion draft will see the rule pendulum swing back against the drafting team.

Yeah... I am jealous... Because the fans working at it for 48 years never got welfare sweetheart deals and on top were forced to give players away, and not just crappy ones.

I can tell, you must be a Democrat, voted for Hillary... "Takes a village kinda guy."

Lots of sour grapes when others foot the bill for the newcomers and they reap the rewards

Las Vegas did a great job with what was handed to them via force.  Enjoy spending other people's money.

Sounds like I am a Trump supporter.

I bet they keep it the same. It took a bunch of great selections that had to fit together perfectly to work this well, and the right coach to put it all together. I doubt any expansion team could have this kind of success given the same rules.

Now I am just hoping we can land Tavares and Carlson in free agency.

I disagree, in part. Looking back, allowing a team to be made up of entirely 1&2 line players, is a sweetheart deal. Especially, considering how crippled expansion teams traditional are. That said, I think this is good for the NHL, and will be considered in the future, accordingly.

I love it! Keep it coming baby! At least the Sabres have a model of how to build a team. Instead of lazy Russians, maybe go after hard workers.

We didn’t even use Carrier to close out the Jets, so you can’t be that upset for us depleting your roster.

Dude.  I am making parody.  I hope Golden Knights win.  Shows how we can think socialism can succeed... Well, at least at the small League level. My point is bigger than the game and you are falling hook, line, and sinker.

Has nothing to do with Carrier or what Sabres were forced to give up.

Las Vegas winning helps League make money.  Helps other teams.

Las Vegas reminds me of the mid 70's Sabres.  I wish we were there!

And it took them 5 years.  Kids today get instant success given to them witg sweetheart expansion.

Love it ?! I think we know why Buffalo kicked you out and exiled you to Ozero’s state. Fit right in.

Nah, your taxes and cost of living, and feces/needles in the streets will make him realize that he can make more and win more in Vegas, and avoid the sewage smell.

Just kidding. I doubt we try for him... to big of a name. But I do think we are the most appealing franchise to free agents. The city, no state tax, fan base, suburban family areas right near the practice rink, soon to be the sports capital of the world, Etc... and cap space, with a winning team.

Between the Knights and Lightening, it seems like an easy choice to make. That said, MakeBuffaloGreatAgain gloating has made me at least consider cheering for TB, hahaha (I wont).

I love socialist handouts just like you do.  You'd fit in too with lllinois... Look what team you are rooting for. The gift from 30 other teams.  Fun spending other people's money.

I will root for Las Vegas.  I love social welfare. I lean left.  It takes a village (League).

Haha, I do think it is better for the league. For the NHL to have a base in one of the biggest gambling cities on the planet is good for fans of hockey, IMO. It will expose more people from around the world to the sport who really never had an interest before. It will be interesting to see what the Raiders moving there will be like. I have one friend who is investing in Raiders season tickets, already.

I'm starting to know what it's like to be a Patriots fan... Except our deflated balls, Tuck rule, and Spy gate, are 30 gifted players from other teams. Unfortunately, our 2 goals were from Tuck(who didn't play in the NHL last year) and Reeves who we acquired Via trade. Kinda wish our welfare players would've contributed more... lol. At least Fluery is proving that a 33 year old goalie can still be useful.

I am... made quadruple my investment on the VGKs already with season tickets. Add on the random sports bets made on my knights this year, and I might be able to retire 15 years early.

A male athlete is in his prime @ 29.

You don't watch hockey that much do you.  Players play well into 30s.  They ain't running backs.
