Bills hosting Bengles FA C Bodine

Recommended Posts

background

Bodine has been one of the worst starting offensive linemen in the league since the Bengals traded up in the 2014 NFL Draft to select him, and amid an often-great line led by Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler, he always looked like the one stopping the unit from becoming the best in the NFL. Now those two are gone and Bodine is entering his fourth year in Cincinnati, in which it’s time to step up or step away.

He’s not good but would take Groy’s spot as backup C.

I think he is a pretty average player, which is what Eric Wood pretty much was as well. He could compete with Groy. Bodine I believe is a center only, whereas Groy could play guard.

They need depth at the position, it makes sense

Never thought they have liked Groy much and another hole not to have to draft if he signs. Could fit zone scheme better as well.

Groy could move to G.

McD already said the C job is Groy’s. They still need another guy on the roster who can play C.
