Cordy Glenn traded to bengals

Agree with everything you said...

Interesting note now:  Bills could stay at 12 and just draft whatever of the big 5 drop to them.  ONE or more will be at 12.  Although I feel like this move is to make trading into the top 10 more realistic, I wouldnt rule out staying put at 12 either depending how the draft falls.

For example:  If Cleveland really prefers Allen, they go Barkley #1 its the intent of taking Allen at 4.  Or if a new wildcard comes into play and Cleveland really surprises now that they have Tyrod and looks to move down more and take LAMAR which would make more sense of the Tyrod trade...path really opens for Baker to fall to us at 12 potentially.

Then even if a trade happens at 2 or 3...its more likely someone like Broncos or Jets leaping up to get their guy.  And they already pick 5 and 6, so doesn't really shake anything up ahead of our pick because its NOT a team behind us moving in front of us.

So lets say Broncos and Jets take Rosen and Darnold in some capacity between 2 and 6.  That leaves both Baker and Lamar there with no real threat ahead of us to take either outside the rumored Dolphin interest.  Well, now we can just let one fall to us, or do a much cheaper move to get ahead of the Dolphins at like 9 or 10 and get Baker for instance.

So many possibilities...going to be an exciting draft.   Personally, I think Beane is still going to make another trade, but man so many things can change how this all plays out still.  VERY EXCITING time to be a Bills fan

Beane isn't taking somebody else's leftovers. He knows who he wants, and will do whatever he needs to to get him. We just have to hope he's right.

Is it weird that everybody in the media thinks/knows the Bills are infatuated with Rosen? Beane doesnt seem like the type that would show all his cards like that. I don't think Rosen's the play at all. I think it's Darnold.

Just a hunch.

I hope so because I like Darnold slightly more than Rosen.

Won't the Browns most likely take Darnold 1st overall though?

I think we know before the draft if we are trading up to go after Rosen or Darnold by who we sign in FA as the veteran. If it's a Matt Moore or McCarron we are trading up. If it's one of the top guys, Keenum or Bridgewater (not that I want them or predict it) then we likely stay at 12 and go after Mayfield, Allen or Jackson. If you are getting Rosen or Darnold there is no need to spend any capital on a vet FA. You get one but as a backup not bridge.

Giants will not make that trade - they will demand that Bills give them Billy Buffalo so their mascot can trample on him during half time every game.

Throw in the train horn operator and it becomes the best trade in NFL history

I didn't know Beane was their GM.

Some GM's are more transparent than others. Beane is NOT transparent.

a few weeks ago we were apparently in love with Darnold. who knows who were gonna take, I was just saying that sometimes why and who for certain teams move up for are obvious to insiders

Rudolph or Mayfield.

Never forget that this team is committed to seniors. Last year they actually moved around until they could get the seniors they wanted. It's not Rosen, it's not Darnold.

We drafted Glenn in the 2nd round when he was healthy and signed him to a cheap rookie deal. We just got the equivalent of a 2nd round pick back for him, except now he has an 8-figure cap hit and he's only played 16 games over the last 3 seasons.

It is still conceivable that we use 12 on a player like Roquon Smith and take our QB at 22. A trade up for a QB is probably more likely but I wouldn't make any assumptions yet.

Can you imagine the meltdown here if 12 is used on Smith?

Everyone is so sure we are trading up :) It is plausible but watch Beaner go balls out and we sign Cousins now. The cap room is 100% there for a reason now and just about doubles next year.

With the draft stock we have and Cousins we could be scary good.

By the draft value chart our 2 firsts alone can get us to Cleveland's 4th round slot.

This is an attractive possibility to Cleveland because IF they pick 2 high firsts and 2 high 2nds this year and hit on all of them, they won't be able to renew them all. It will be too expensive 4 or so years down the road. So Cleveland probably wants a high pick for next year instead of yet another fist this year.

So think our 12 ad next years first and some other value, like maybe their 3rd back.

at 2 the Giants have a QB ad may pass on one this year.

at 3 the colts have a QB and it would be odd if they took one.

So at 2,3,and 4 overall there are likely trade partners and we can reach any of them.

We are in good shape here.

No.  I have to believe this trade is made with yet another move in mind.  Otherwise, why do it now?  No one really has any idea now who will be on the board at 12, so it can’t be for a particular player.

Great trade! We get the 12th and swap a 5th and 6th pick with the Bengals!! I think we trade the 12th, a second and a third for a #3-4 pick. Especially if the Colts stick to Luck. Beane is making good moves. Cordy didn’t wanna play for us. Screw him.
