Remind Me - Why Didn't We Make a Run at Nick Foles?

I'm sure Foles won't mind the fat ring on his finger and this on his mantle.

We will see what happens with Wentz under the big stage. Some QB's as we have seen who look legit fold hardcore.

We need (Bills) to explore all avenues on FA and the draft.

52 - Foles

Playoff MVP for that matter.

Yes, but some QB's look good on the big stage one year and never look good again.

Foles owns Philly now, no way I’d let him go after this run and this win. What a conflict, must be tough being a Eagles fan.

It feels great right now, but the best thing for him, wentz, and the team going forward is to trade him. Give him a chance to start somewhere and remove the awkwardness from the qb room if wentz has a bad stretch next year. Trade him for Tyrod and a pick. Then they have a decent backup but remove the controversy in waiting. Wentz is their future and they’ve invested a lot in him. They need to thank Foles by setting him free.

I'd take Foles in Buffalo in a heart beat!

Eagles may may be hesitant to trade him until Wentz is at 100% though.

Lol...He averages fewer yards a game than Tyrod does over his career...hahahaha...people would have a field day with this...

It doen't change the fact he has proven he can be a starter in the league and possible franchise QB if you play him to his strengths like the last 2 games. Eagles understood this and won a SB with him, he flat tore **** up.

Of course he has.  But Wentz IS a franchise QB, not just a possible one.

Not taking anything away from Foles.  He got hot at the right time and played out of his mind.

I'm not talking about the Iggles. I'm talking about him with the Bills. Eagles are one lucky ass Franchise right now. The fans are prob burning their city down right now as I type.

Take a look back at about page 7 of this thread - you'll see the obstinate, Sean Spicer Award posters ("that inauguration crowd WAS the biggest in history!") who absolutely refuse to admit that NIck Foles is superior to Tyrod Taylor. Not "one of the best in the league" or even "a very good 2nd tier QB." No. Just "better than Tyrod Taylor" is apparently too much for some people to admit.

That's because he has several games in his career where he played a handful of snaps which brings down his AVG.  As a starter in Philly, his YPG blows TT's out of the water.

The good thing about Foles winning the MVP: I think this almost forces the Eagles to trade him. Otherwise you've got a Tom Brady-Drew Bledsoe situation in reverse; one of them (and you pick the best one in your opinion) stays, and the other has to go.

Real good problem to have. Foles could have 10 years in his tank. Dude is just hitting his "QB" football prime. Weird how the game finally slows down for them late 20"s to early 30's.

Actual QB passing yards?  I don't think that's correct.  Fin any case, Foles made a throw tonight over the middle between 2 defends Tyrod would never dare attempt.  He was fantastic tonight.  Tyrod couldn't dream of putting that game together.

I remember seeing a stat before wentz got hurt and they compared all his numbers to foles and they were nearly identical. Just saying just because foles crapped out in la doesn’t mean he is a garbage qb.

A lot of QBs crapped out under Fisher

True, they did invest a lot in him, but they could get a lot back. I don’t really like playing “what if”... but what if the Browns offered you the #1 and #4 picks in the draft this year and next year’s #1 for him?

And that's the most important thing. No standing around looking confused. Get the ball, see the whole field, make the throw. And then when the throws came, they were right on the money. Fantastic performance for any QB, and even more so for a guy who took over about 6 games ago.

I honestly think you HAVE to put “Foles” on the QB board as an option. I think you could have him for a 2. It has to be considered.

LA was a product of Jeff Fisher. Jeff Fisher’s playbook is from 1990.

Jeff Fisher was an Abe gibron acolyte
