I hope last weekend finally kills the "you need a Franchise QB to be a contender" nonsense

This battle will rage into eternity. The proof is in the pudding folks.. Good teams go far in the playoffs.

They just can't be a liability you morons (PETERMAN)

Don't confuse a weak quarterback losing with a good team (Savage in the playoffs) to meaning a good quarterback wins no matter what. That's called a contrapositive or something like that. Go back to school folks.

Point one, we can win games with Taylor behind center.

Point two, we did win games with Taylor behind center.

Point three, the Buffalo Bills made the playoffs...

Point 4.         Taylor folds faster than Andy Dalton in playoff games.

All the best to him, it’s time for someone else to get a shot at QB for the Bills

Except Keenum is good... I got flamed by the CoT for suggesting we let Tyrod go and sign him last offseason. I was told I was purposely downgrading the QB position to save a few dollars. Yea, sure.

Foles did not "get his team to a conference Championship game." Wentz got them most of the way and then the defense held on a 4 down red zone series on Saturday to get them past Atlanta.

Bortles is a fair point.... he isn't great. I do actually think his 2017 tape is better than Tyrod's though. He has played better this season.

Rex Grossman made the Superbowl once as well. He still sucked. The Cult is now on life support. The end is nigh.

Ever consider that Keenum is more the product of Shermur than anything?

Look how incredible Bradford looked Week 1.

Doubt he remotely resembles that under Dennison.

I think the NY Giants are looking at Keenum and seeing what Vikings OC Pat Shurmur was able to do for the guy. That miracle play at the end of the Saints game is something the team has practiced over and over.

Now go back to 2013 when Foles had his career season and look who his OC was...yep, Pat Shurmur. Eagles HC Chip Kelly with his two 10-6 seasons his OC was Pat Shurmur.

So... you mean Keenum's first 5 years as a journeyman might be more representative of who Case Keenum is than what he's done this year under an OC who's about to become a HC somewhere next year because of his spectacular work with bleh QBs?

Interesting 0:)

I hope Dabol is the next guy like that after being wildly successful for a few years molding our new QB we draft in the 1st round this year

Just FYI...on BBMB last season, he created close to 25 threads about Taylor.  I looked it up on the search function because I was curious.  He’s actually toned down the obsession so I’m a little proud of him.  Baby steps.

Aw shux

This is so True, look at Super Bowl winning QB's.  For every Tom Brady or Payton Manning you get Mark Ripen or Trent Dilfer.  You need a competent QB who can make they key throw and manage the offense.    If Tyrod could anticipate throws and actually hit a receiver as they ran he would be perfect.

I have no problem drafting a QB to groom. On the other hand it would be great for the Buffalo Bills to come out next season with the same work ethic and good chemistry from a team perspective and I think Tyrod Taylor is a big part it.

In my humble opinon and with all due respect sir.

Alex Smith is a name being tossed around allot. How deep into the playoffs did he go?

From practically claiming TT was a Franchise type guy  -- to  -- Who needs a franchise type guy?

smh

you seriously need to let go of Tay Tay

McD is the one you will have to convince when it comes to letting go of Taylor,

which will be easier said then done IMO.

Lets say Taylor does come back through all the changes and stands behind center when the next regular season rolls around. 4 years as the Bills starting QB.

Who at the dawning of a New Era has represented this franchise better?

Hope this was worth your time for a post that was a tongue in cheek post taking a little light-hearted jab at a previously-banned-poster-under-a-new-name's thread

I had fun with mine. The little I read of your post, you sounded upset. Why you mad, bro?

I got a feeling you will be the mad one come March when TT is gone, bro.

I generally agree with you about the bold.

However, Jacksonville specifically, and watching the last 2 weeks, the Bills lost because the offense, and passing game in particular left plays out on the field.

Pittsburgh lost because they capitalized the Jags capitalized on Pittsburgh’s weakness on D.

Buffalo’s offense is firmly to blame for that loss.

It's the offense as a whole that struggled all year. Not just one entity. We had a weak OC. A mediocre and safe qb. A very avg oline forced to zone block. Wr's hurt or dropping balls. No elite TE 's. Brian will have to retool every facet.

at first I was like the OP is not really obsessed with taylor, then I was like, yes, yes he is. I just hope it doesn't hurt too much when they move on from him this off season.

I'm very excited about this QB offseason.  Can't wait to see who we draft in the 1st.

I could see Tyrod being part of a package deal on draft day to trade up.

I could also see Tyrod being kept on the roster for one more year

Who knows?

If we get Darnold, Mayfield or Rudolph in the 1st... I'll be stoked!

A fun few months ahead of us

You could be right. But I would put the blame on Dennison more than Taylor and a severely poor receiving corps.

They don't get enough attention for how bad they are. Slow, lumbering, rocks for hands.deonte Thompson's catch in the colts should be made by any wr. Yet he's our playmaker now lol
