Still a lot of hating on McDermott after a win...

You have to blitz to keep the other team honest.  It won't always work, but, IMO a necessity.

If you don't believe so, think about this quote I heard from a German fellow at this year's Oktoberfest in Munich.....

"sometimes you lose and sometimes the other guy wins"

We covered their number one receiver with a combination of Humber and Lorax most of the game.  After Allen had already torched us for 100+ yards and one TD, we eventually put Leonard Johnson on him.    Keenan was limited to 40 yards and only one TD after McD and Frazier caught on.  Those are the kind of late 3rd quarter adjustments that win super bowls.

Totally agree. Have to hand it to some degree to McD for going back to it after it backfired so badly the week before. But the last few games, when the defense was getting gashed, he didn't really do much to try to take away the pass or the run, he played his weak zone with some blitzing but the blitzers weren't getting through and Rivers was throwing to wide open WR anyway.

I was at the game and was pissed that I couldnt throw anything at the TV and didn't have the arm strength to reach the jumbotron.

Arm strength was the one red flag in your scouting report!

For "realists" maybe its worth trying to cure cancer with healthy doses of strychnine?

The realism was from taking a shot at an unquantified, unknown entity rather than expecting Tyrod to transform into something he isn't overnight. The chances of the latter were hovering around zero, so there you go.

Dennison is a huge problem.  This offense was putting up points last year, now it's surprising when we get more than one TD a game.

Just the entire production of this offence have fallen off a cliff (compared to last season)....so yes Dennision i agree is very very putrid OC as most can clearly see with this playcalling going on!

he earned the hate with the record-breaking defensive futility in our last 3 games before KC

Oh did he now?  First year HC.  Has team at 6-5 after 11 games with wins against both Atlanta and KC on the road.  I'd say he's doing OK.  Bound to be a few stinkers along the way.  This team isn't exactly SB ready quite yet.

I will reserve my opinion on McDermott until next season.  I feel like Dennison is the one who is holding the team back.  McDermott has energy, discipline, etc.  Just the opposite of Rex.  Now I want to see if Dennison can either change the conservative nonsense, or is replaced next season (I know, I know, replacing your OC is not the type of continuity that winning teams thrive on).  If McDermott lets Dennison continue next season with the same lame offense, then I will hold McDermott responsible.

I like McDermott.  I think he is going to be a good coach.  He just needs time to build his team and I hope he gets it.  Beane will have to do a good job for him.  Dennison I am not so sure about.  I don't like some of his situational play calling nor his calling in general.  Whether a better QB and offensive talent in general changes that remains to be seen.

Ditto !!!

Yesterday was a good win on the road after a three game free fall.  It turns out that our early success was when we had the 10th easiest schedule in the league.  We will see just how impressive yesterday's win was (or was not) depending on how KC finishes.  It appears that they are in a free fall.

I think we will have better perspective on McCoach after these two Patriot games coming up.  We shall see.

I guess he sorta fixed the defense. Either that or KC is truly awful on offense.

Its probably a combination of the 2, but he deserves some credit for the defense being better. KC did have good running backs.

...apparently you forgot where you are....the "One & Done Gang" spares no one.....owners, rooks, HC's, GM's are all fair game...AND....ELEVEN games is an eternity and overly generous period to determine BUST status for all of the aforementioned................

Hunt has looked slow for atleast a month now, Reid's play calling has been off as well. He had a run of stupid play calls in the red zone which started the their slide and yesterday it looked like he over simplified things.

No passes to Hunt, no tosses to Kelce, Tyreek was a ghost.

....mind boggling....he called a masterful game when they thumped the Pats......even threw in some spread stuff, Smith responded well and Belichick had NO answers.....now it's like he's called Dennison for "counseling".....
