Here you can admit that yes, it CAN get worse than Taylor

He has a winning record this year and in his Bills career. They are actually winning with him. I think what yesterday showed is that they haven’t been winning “despite” him as some on here have claimed. They’ve won “because” of him in a lot of cases.

I can't remember a game they won because of Taylor, but a couple they lost that they really should have won based on his play. Certainly, Miami and Seatle come to mind from last year.

So i said it last week and i will say it again, I think Taylor is the better player, but not in this scheme. So something had to give, and scheme won out.

I have way more problems with the OC and head coach for not keeping what worked from last intact then I have with them making the switch at QB. Why if you are going to "trust the process " and keep Denison, go ahead and keep playing Nathan cause tyrod will never be a fit here.

Taylor's the best QB we've had in a long time.

He stretched the field quite a bit when we had Sammy

He looked good for the short time that Robert Woods, Sammy and Percy Harvin were healthy and starting.

He's Alex Smith, the perfect starter while we look for our QB of the future. But of course we want to get the best QB we've had in the last 20 years off the field to play a 5th rounder from Pitt who couldn't win the starting job at Tennessee.

If Tyrod were Alex Smith, this team would be in the playoffs. Taylor is nothing like Alex Smith.

Just because the Bills have been inept at QB for the last 20 years, does not make Taylor a good NFL QB. By this logic, the Browns best QB in the last 20 years has been Jason Campbell or Derek Anderson. That would make them viable NFL QB's no?

Neither one will ever see the playoffs.

Go go ahead and let petey finish the season and let's go after Rosen.

They were in a playoff position. If they won yesterday they were actually the 5 seed. There’s a difference between playoffs and Super Bowl. One of them can clearly lead their team to the playoffs. One of them may not be on a roster next year. Those aren’t the same; average starter is not the same as scrub rookie backup.

I’m all for Rosen. We all should be.

Go back and look at Bledsoe’s Bills career. He was AWFUL. He’s the only guy in the history of the drought that we have a favorable impression of that was completely undeserved. He was Losman bad.

I think the opposite, he was overly criticized.  He had bad RBs and a defense that never helped out.  He played for playoff teams his downside is he wasn't Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers good

QB wouldn't have made the difference, at least Peterman took chances.

I think it's becoming clear that they don't have a plan or are too stubborn to adjust it.  You know  I'm not the biggest TT fan but I always knew you could do worse.

Personally, I would have started a young guy right away and let TT walk.  Either the young guy turns into something or you get a high pick to draft a stud qb.  I knew TT was a .500 type qb And bringing him back would kill those plans.  Well, then the team overachieves, it makes zero sense to bench TT while still in contention.  Now, we are Kinda screwed.

And I know we both love Rosen but it's just a pipe dream because we don't have the ammo to draft him.  This year is looking like a complete failure.  I dont trust the process.

This year alone the Buccaneers and Broncos games. Those are 2 wins we don’t get with a worse QB. Falcons game too really. Just because a QB isn’t ripping off 350 pass yards in a shootout doesn’t mean he isn’t the reason for a win. Those were all close games that we won because our offense was able to score points when the games were still in question, and the run game was not performing nearly at its best in any of those games. Do you really think Tyrod has nothing to do with his own winning record as a starter?? That’s insane.

It can get a whole lot better.

Ah the lovely crusade word from the Caped Crusader himself jm2009

How can people "pretend" the outcome would have changed with Taylor.

He'd have been sacked on those same plays Nate got hit.

Is this for real. This group with the COT nonsense and cocky posting. Now trying to deflect. Really? Go away please.

Im just curious if you could list out the 10-11 Qbs who are better than him, Im curious who you leave off the list.

Sure.  Question marks after the guys who look solid but could fall off a cliff a la Nick Foles (see Carr and Prescott for what can happen when your supporting cast weakens).

Brady

Brees

Rodgers

Ryan

Cousins

Roethlisberger

Smith

Wilson

Luck (probably?)

Wentz(?)

Goff(?)

After that it's a whole bunch of guys vying for the 12-18 spots, among whom I think Taylor has done the most with the least.  Really not sure who else you can argue definitely belongs ahead of him.

I think the Bucs game was only close because Taylor could not produce TDs after great field position starts after Turnovers. I also think the run game is awful based on Taylor's skill set IN THIS SCHEME. Like I said, I think TT prolly better than Peterman in the right scheme, just not this one.

And tell me Taylor was not a huge part of the losses at Carolina, Cinci, NY and the Saints. Not all his fault, and certainly the D just as at fault the last two, but the Cinci and Carolina performances out of him were absolutely atrocious.

The Chiefs are WORLDS better than the bills and have been consistently. Him being the best QB for the bills is just an arbitrary opinion that needs to be stated because he is so disliked. The team isn't just a QB. A good QB on a bad team is still a bad team. They are very alike and the comparison is a common one by qb evaluators. And I agree when I watch. But what do people who evaluate QBs for a living know

Carolina is 7-3, has one of the best defenses in the league, and Taylor threw a game-winner that Jones flubbed on.  Despite the ugliness of the game, that could have easily been a win.

So what example are you looking for? We scored 30 points in that game. If we had scored another TD would that have been enough for you? This has been the thing with everyone who tries to argue Tyrod is not good. The wins are in spite of him, the losses are because of him. It defies all logic. Wentz won yesterday throwing for 168 yards. What’s his signature game that he won on his own? There are like 3 QBs in the league that meet your standard and one of them is injured for the season.

And most will say Taylor put that in the wrong spot. And without a gift, Defensive TD in Atlanta and a whacked call in the Denver game and 3 TO's against TB and 4 against the Raiders those all could be losses.

Cant play the if game in the NFL, dude has been the starter for 2 1/2 years, he is what he is, a .500 QB that wins if everything around goes perfect.

And perfect means get a lead and win TO battle. I really don't think I need to bring up his record when down by 4 at ANY TIME in game do I?
